As a devoted gaming enthusiast, I’m saddened to share the news that Makea Games, creators of the captivating Supermoves, have decided to close their operations, effective immediately.
The announcement was made on Monday morning by the studio’s CEO and founder Tomi Toikka.
Following more than three remarkable years developing Supermoves and realizing the dream of the Makeaverse using user-generated content, Toikka stated. Regrettably, it’s time for us to close Makea Games as we are formally shutting down operations, effective today. Although our team has given their all, and we’ve received tremendous support from our community, collaborators, and partners, this decision wasn’t easy.
I wrapped up by expressing gratitude to all who supported us, the little crew with grand ambitions. And let me tell you, we’ve got the passion burning bright to rebuild and create something truly extraordinary.
In August 2024, Makea Games debuted their sole release titled Supermoves: World of Parkour. As per SteamDB records, the game’s concurrent user count reached a maximum of only 50 players, with a recent 24-hour high of merely two players.
