As someone who has spent countless hours in Love Nikki, I must say that the game has evolved beyond just being a dress-up simulation. The introduction of Ability Outfits has added a whole new layer to the gameplay, making it more interactive and engaging.
In the game titled “Infinity Nikki,” our protagonist is transported to another world through a magical dress. This enchanted garment grants Nikki the ability to don outfits that bestow her with powers, enabling her to explore Miraland, cleanse Dark Essence and Esselings, and engage with the game’s environment.
Ability Outfits can be accessed by Sketches, detailing clothing items that need to either be crafted or obtained via the game’s gacha system to wear the outfit. Every ability comes with an initial basic Ability Outfit available on the Heart of Infinity, the game’s skill tree. On the other hand, premium Ability Outfits can only be acquired through Resonance Banners, which is equivalent to Infinity Nikki‘s gacha system.

In Love Nikki’s fashion-focused game, outfits tend to align better with the dress-up mechanics. These outfits are created by acquiring design sketches and then fabricating them. Kilo the Cadenceborn provides these sketches as rewards for Inspiration Dews.
These fashionable ensembles, as suggested by their title, serve solely to enhance appearance. Unlike other outfits, they do not provide additional skills or capabilities upon acquisition. However, they can be useful for navigating the overworld terrain.
