Infinity Nikki: How to Get Hooded Feather

It’s clear that the universe of Infinity Nikki is teeming with adorable and soft crafting materials, making their acquisition even more appealing for the game’s dedicated fanbase who have stuck with it since its successful debut at the end of 2024. They eagerly anticipate each new update. However, not all items are easy to find; some require a long trek across Wishfield to discover them.

Among the assortment of items in Infinity Nikki, there’s a unique piece called Hooded Feathers, which can only be obtained from a specific breed of bird living secluded within the forest depths. To gather some of these feathers for your Wardrobe’s upcoming outfits, it’s crucial to know their exact location.

How to Get Hooded Feather in Infinity Nikki

In the game “Infinity Nikki,” Hooded Feathers are exceptionally hard to come by as they can only be discovered in a single area of the game – the mystical Wishing Woods. All other areas in Wishfield become accessible not just through exploration, but also advancing the main storyline quests. To get to the Wishing Woods, you will first have to complete the story quests up to Chapter 6, at which point you’ll acquire a new skill that allows you to traverse into this region physically.

After gaining complete freedom to traverse the Enchanted Forest, your next task is locating the elusive Hooded Owls, these creatures being the source of the precious Hooded Feathers. Fortunately, they aren’t difficult to spot due to their large size and tan color, making them almost as big as Nikki. You can find them scattered across various locations within the Enchanted Forest, and upon your initial visit to the Wish Inspection Center, you’re unlikely to run out of them.

You’ll frequently spot Hooded Owls either on the ground or on platforms inhabited by Faewish Sprites. Unlike timid creatures like Longstockings, these birds remain undisturbed no matter how near you approach, even in everyday clothing. When you locate one, remember to don your “Bye-Bye Dust” outfit (or any of its stylish alternatives). As soon as a blue brush icon hovers above the owl’s head, use your grooming ability, and you’ll be rewarded with a Hooded Feather and some Grooming Insight.

If your Heart of Infinity Grid has the necessary nodes unlocked, you’ll also receive Hooded Feather Essence along with additional Hooded Feathers and/or Grooming Insight as a bonus. These nodes are located on the north side of the Heart of Infinity Grid and they don’t come cheap. To unlock Hooded Feather Essence, you’ll need at least 18,000 Grooming Insight, while the node offering item and stat point bonuses will cost 25,000 Insight.

Instead of spending a significant amount of time grinding to unlock those nodes, consider visiting the “Realm of Nourishment” where you can exchange some of your daily Vital Energy and collected grooming items for an increase in your Grooming Insight. This will speed up the process considerably, allowing you to access more items faster for your efforts.

Additionally, don’t forget that you can utilize the tracking feature on your map to locate all the Hooded Owls found within the Wishing Woods. To do so, just open your map, find the small book icon located at the bottom left corner, and your collection options will appear.

Keep moving down until you spot the “Hooded Feather” option (it should appear if you’ve collected at least one). Once found, click on it. Then, hit ‘Track’. The map will then highlight the closest Hooded Owl location within your region, marked by an orange circle (similar to the example provided earlier). Although, advanced tracking that reveals every single owl’s precise location is available with the upgraded feature, but you’ll need to accumulate more Hooded Feathers to unlock it.

Additionally, keep in mind that after a creature is groomed in Infinity Nikki, it will reset roughly 24 hours later (which will change to daily server time with the V.1.2 update). This means you’ll have to wait through this period before you can collect more feathers or any other items that require grooming again.

As you explore the enchanting Wishing Woods, remember to stop by the Sovereign of Fresh to the east of the Grand Tree. By doing so, not only will you receive your Fresh Medal, but also boost your standing as the top-notch stylist in the magical realm of Miraland.
