Infinity Nikki Issues Yet Another Apology After Yet Another Controversy

Infinity Nikki has apologized once again, this time due to a dispute over Home furniture pricing. Originally launched in 2024, Infinity Nikki is the latest addition to the series, taking players on an adventure through the diverse lands of Miraland with Nikki and Momo as the main characters. Along their journey, they meet a variety of unique characters and creatures while gathering outfits that possess magical powers.

Despite boasting captivating graphics and endearing personalities, the game Infinity Nikki has encountered a series of controversies within just a year. As early as December 2024, players voiced their discontent over UI alterations and the shifting emphasis on gacha mechanics. On August 31, the game introduced new furniture items such as sofas, wardrobes, and lamps, but players felt underwhelmed by the price. Now, Infinity Nikki offers more insight into this debate and shares what future changes we can expect for the game.

Infinity Nikki Launches New Housing System, Faces New Backlash

The creators of Infinity Nikki expressed their regrets to gamers for the issues related to pricing and usability of the game’s furniture. On the game’s main site, they revealed that the furniture packs would be temporarily taken down from the Home Gallery. However, some of these packs will make a comeback during version 1.9’s second half update. They also mentioned plans to improve future content within the Home Gallery, and added that sketches for the furniture pieces in the Stellar Poems Pack and Leisure Tea Brewing Sets I, II, and III are on the way.

The upcoming update for Infinity Nikki will provide free furniture items, including the Astral Radiance Pack pieces, Echo Waterwheel, and Seasons Couch, through the Home ability upgrade. Additionally, free sketches of these items will be included in various skill level rewards. Other improvements are planned to enhance gameplay experience, such as reintroducing Stellar Cascade at a reduced cost at a later time. In the future, open-world decorations will become available for placement within Home after they’ve been optimized and adapted for performance.

Apart from expressing regret for inconveniences due to the latest update and assuring better performance and additional content, developers have unveiled free gifts for players: customizable costumes, an expansive 90,000 square meter island allowing structures up to 100 meters high, and over 999 furniture items at no charge. This forms a part of the 1.9 update, which has also sparked debate due to the partnership between Infinity Nikki and Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe. The timing of this collaboration with ConcernedApe’s game has been a topic of discussion within the Infinity Nikki community, with some players suggesting that it was released as a diversion from monetization and development challenges.
