Infinity Nikki announces significant upgrades in Version 1.9, such as enhancing co-op play in the Sea of Stars, offering PS5 users a choice for 60 FPS, and introducing new features for the Color Lookbook and Photo Mode. Although Infinity Nikki is still working to regain the positive sentiment it lost with Version 1.5, developer Infold has been restoring trust through a series of well-liked updates. Version 1.7 was highly acclaimed for its mature narrative, and this continued in Version 1.8.
Beyond its engaging storyline, Danqing Season in “Infinity Nikki” offered extra banners and a fresh zone modeled after the Linlang Empire to players. However, “Infinity Nikki” has faced controversy recently as Infold condemned leaked content. While the standpoint itself was innocuous, players were displeased by the phrasing of the announcement, particularly since Infold hadn’t yet publicly addressed the abrupt changes introduced in Version 1.5.
Infinity Nikki: Version 1.9 Improves the Sea of Stars, Photo Mode, and Color Lookbook
As I eagerly anticipate Version 1.9, I can’t help but feel a mix of apprehension and excitement about how Infinity Nikki will shape its housing features – especially given its partnership with Stardew Valley in this regard. Yet, according to the developers, Version 1.9 is not just about housing; it’s also set to introduce a host of long-awaited improvements to Infinity Nikki.
In this update, we’ll finally gain access to Mira Crown, Styling Factions, and Realms within the Sea of Stars – a co-op hub that has been met with some criticism. This change should streamline our experience in the Sea of Stars, but more importantly, it will also enhance the co-op aspect by allowing us to monitor quests while exploring Miraland with a friend.
It’s also possible that this update might offer an easy escape option from co-op play if a particular quest demands solo mode, making our adventures more flexible and enjoyable.

In Version 1.9, players on PlayStation 5 can expect a feature that allows them to toggle between 30 FPS and 60 FPS smoothness in the game’s settings. This is one of the significant improvements coming up. For convenience, Infinity Nikki will include a ‘Quick Delete’ option when capturing photos. Additionally, Leila’s shop will offer fresh poses for the Photo Mode, and the Color Lookbook will let you directly transfer a Dyeing Scheme to your Wardrobe for assembling your desired outfit.

To wrap things up, Infinity Nikki tackled the ongoing debate about their stance on leaks involving Infold. They didn’t issue an apology for the initial revelation, but they did make it clear that the Pounding Hammer sent to each player’s inbox was meant as a playful jab at unauthorized disclosures, rather than targeting the community at large. Despite this incident, Infinity Nikki is moving forward with their plans and Version 2.0 remains on schedule, with Version 1.9 scheduled for release on September 2, 2025.
