After much anticipation, Infinity Nikki has unveiled comprehensive details about the DIY Workshop, a new feature slated for Version 1.5. This exciting addition will empower players to personalize their characters by dyeing their hair and clothing, as well as adding distinct patterns to their attire. Although Infinity Nikki debuted in December 2024 with Evolutions, offering multiple color options for the same item, fans have long been eager for a dye system, hoping that it would be introduced soon.
After weeks of buzz and guesswork, the developers officially confirmed that dye customization is on its way to “Infinity Nikki” with the sneak peek of the DIY Workshop through the Bullquet event in Version 1.3. At first, it was planned to introduce both dyes and housing at the same time, but unfortunately, housing has been moved back to Summer 2025. Thanks to some clever digging by the community, we, as players of “Infinity Nikki”, already had a rough idea of how the DIY Workshop would function when Version 1.5 drops. However, it was an official deep dive from Infold that finally cleared up some of its intricacies.
Prior to the release of Version 1.5, Infold provided details about how the DIY Workshop would affect 3-Star, 4-Star, and 5-Star costumes in “Infinity Nikki”. One of the major uncertainties surrounding this new feature was whether it could function alongside Evolutions. To ensure a user-friendly experience while also encouraging players to evolve their costumes in “Infinity Nikki”, Infold had to develop a system that addressed these concerns. From a creative perspective, the full capabilities of the DIY Workshop are demonstrated in a video shared by dave-not-a-barbarian on the “Infinity Nikki” subreddit.

- Palettes will gradually become available based on factors such as outfit completion and Evolution stage.

- For 4-star and 5-star outfits, after being evolved, the required amount of dye materials to unlock palettes will decrease.
- Each outfit piece can save up to seven custom Dyeing Schemes, and supports the sharing and importing of these Schemes.
- Players can share their Dyeing Scheme using a QR code or via the Wardrobe page or Dye page.
Players of Infinity Nikki are incentivized by securing palettes during Evolutions, as this investment in their preferred outfits grants them a wide array of colors to customize their styles. Each base palette offers up to 48 color options, making it easy to coordinate clothing items across various collections. At present, the DIY Workshop supports all 5-Star and 4-Star outfits from past banners, some 3-Star outfits, most Ability Outfits from the Heart of Infinity, and the upcoming outfits in Version 1.5. However, future updates to Infinity Nikki will broaden the system to accommodate more outfit sets and even individual clothing items.
In the revamped Glow Up aspect of Infinity Nikki, it’s important to note that not all outfits in Version 1.5 will carry the Revived label initially. However, players can anticipate receiving fresh color variations for their 5-Star, 4-Star, and even 3-Star costumes through subsequent updates. The DIY Workshop is going to be honored with a special event called Rainbow and Pattern in Version 1.5. This event will reward players for completing dyeing tasks. The release date for Version 1.5 is scheduled for April 29, and it will continue until June 4.
