Infinity Nikki’s Most Useful Ability Outfits So Far

With the world of Infinity Nikki growing and Nikki and Momo exploring more of Miraland, they need powerful abilities to help them on their adventures. Luckily, the game receives regular updates that add new abilities, and some of these have become particularly useful for Nikki’s journey.

The game is constantly evolving, and even more options will be added over time, but these abilities truly stand out. They’re a great value for your Diamonds, and they look fantastic too! Whether it’s outfits that make gathering resources easier or those that let you explore Miraland on a beautiful mount, these are essential additions to your collection.

10. Shrinking

Don’t Worry, Momo’s Got This!

Infinity Nikki has introduced so many cool outfits and abilities that I realized ‘Shrinking’ is actually available from the start. It’s genuinely helpful, and it’s probably time it was unlocked for players in all regions, just like many other abilities. While it’s nice that some abilities stay unique to certain areas, the game is expanding, and players are really hoping for fewer restrictions and more freedom in how they play. But that’s a discussion for another time.

The Shrinking ability is unique to the Wishing Woods in Wishfield and becomes available as you progress through the story. It lets you become incredibly small, allowing Momo to carry you. Besides being cute and magical, this ability lets you access small, hidden areas normally reserved for the local Faewish Sprites. Using Shrinking to explore thoroughly will help you find all sorts of treasures, including Blings, Whimstars, and chests filled with Diamonds and other valuable items.

Plus, Momo is surprisingly agile when you play as him in these situations, with jumps that can cover a lot of ground.

9. Battle Companion

Nikki the Beastmaster??

Nikki recently gained a new ability called Battle Companion, thanks to Ian the Cadenceborn. You can find Ian near Spira in the Titans’ Outpost Ruins of Itzaland. By giving him Dews of Inspiration, you can unlock this ability, which adds a fun, new element to battles outside of traditional combat.

Once you’ve earned the complete Deepwood Dream outfit through Ian’s reward track, you’ll automatically gain the Battle Companion ability. You can do extra quests from Ian to learn how to use it, and you’ll find a dedicated section for Battle Companion within the Itzaland Heart of Infinity grid, filled with helpful upgrades.

In Infinity Nikki, you can summon a Phantom Companion – think of it like having a battle partner – to help you fight enemies. These companions, also called Esselings, come in different types, each with special skills, letting you experiment with various combat strategies.

Plus, with Momo now able to fight, you’ll have a significant advantage when taking on stronger enemies.

8. Construction

Build the Perfect Getaway!

While building in Infinity Nikki can still be a bit complicated and sometimes repetitive, adding the ability to construct houses has significantly expanded the creative possibilities for players. It’s also created a relaxing and enjoyable gameplay style for those who prefer crafting and building over action, puzzles, or other fast-paced challenges.

Letting players design unique homes for Nikki and Momo adds a lovely personal touch to the game. It also expands creative options, especially for those who enjoy taking photos. Now, you can create the perfect scene for your fashion shoots without having to search for a suitable location in Wishfield or Itzaland.

I’m really excited to see how this building ability grows in Itzaland, especially with helping the Shroomlings create cool places like drink shops and bath houses! It’s still a little rough around the edges, though. I think if they smoothed things out a bit, it would be way less intimidating for players like me who don’t usually build super detailed structures. It would be awesome if more people felt comfortable giving it a try!

7. Bug Catching (Sweet Waltz)

Catch Even More Critters!

The Bug-Catching ability has been available since the game launched and you unlock it very early on. It lets you catch bugs throughout Miraland’s different areas, and you can use those bugs to create unique outfits. You use a bug net to catch them, and this method is generally quite effective for gathering items.

Recently, a new outfit has made collecting bugs much easier. The Sweet Waltz outfit, released with the big 2.0 update that introduced Itzaland, is not only adorable but also improves bug-catching. Instead of catching bugs individually, this outfit lets you swipe to collect several at once.

If you ever need to catch a lot of bugs, this stylish new item will be a great help. Plus, you can use it anywhere, unlike some other outfits that are limited to certain areas.

6. Gigantification

Being the Size of a Behemoth has its Benefits

The Gigantification ability was added to Infinity Nikki with the 2.0 season and Itzaland, and it does the opposite of the Shrinking ability. When used with the Forest Folk outfit, it makes Nikki grow to be about the size of a Behemoth. Though it looks impressive, this ability is surprisingly useful in a variety of ways.

Being taller lets you reach places you normally couldn’t. Plus, you can use a special roar to stun large monsters, helping you safely move through their areas. While effective, the Sound of Leaves outfit is generally considered even better for avoiding encounters.

This ability lets you run incredibly fast, as quickly as a galloping horse. While running, you can also smash through weak walls and piles of rocks to find hidden treasures or secret paths. At first, how long you can stay giant is limited by an energy bar, but by upgrading your abilities, you can remove this limit and stay huge for as long as you like.

What initially seems like a simple, perhaps even unnecessary, skill has turned out to be surprisingly useful in the game, at least within the Itzaland area. If this ability, and others like it, become available in more locations, they could become even more valuable.

5. Sticky Claw

If You Can’t Fly, Then Grapple Your Way Up!

Itzaland is a really enjoyable area to explore, and its special abilities are also quite useful. One of my favorites, added in the 2.0 update, is the Sticky Claw. This ability lets Nikki quickly move across large gaps or reach high places like a grappling hook. Just look for the small orange icon to see where you can grapple to.

I think this is actually superior to the floating ability in the Abandoned District. Unlike that ability, you don’t have to worry about a limited-use meter, and you have much more control over your movement and distance. Plus, you can stay connected to a grapple point for as long as you want, giving you time to plan your next move.

Besides using mounts or the quick movement ability, this is easily one of the most dependable ways to travel through the game. I really hope they add a grappling hook so we can explore all of Miraland like this!

4. Animal Grooming (Enchanted Encounter)

With a Swish and Flick of the Wrist!

In Infinity Nikki, Animal Grooming is a skill you learn early in the game. It lets you collect materials needed to make clothes, and it also keeps animals looking their best – a benefit for everyone involved!

Grooming animals one by one can become repetitive, even though you can skip the grooming scenes, especially when you constantly need materials for crafting. Luckily, the Enchanted Encounter outfit, which was introduced in Season 1.6, solves this problem. It not only looks like it’s inspired by Glinda, but it also makes grooming even the fluffiest animals much faster and easier.

Once you’ve collected all the pieces of the outfit, you’ll unlock the Fairy’s Animal-Grooming ability. This lets you groom large groups of animals with a simple wave of your wand! It’s much faster than grooming them one by one, and it adds a really fun, magical touch to the process.

3. Forest Ripple

Embrace Your Green Thumb with a Simple Tap

If you’re looking for a fantastic outfit with a lot of useful items all at once, the Forest Ripple outfit is a top pick – and one of the most beautiful, in my opinion. The Infinity Nikki community was thrilled when it released in Season 2.1, and for good reason. It’s one of the most elegantly designed outfits yet, featuring stunning wings and legwear that transform your character into a true forest fairy. Plus, the outfit’s special ability is among the best in the game.

Flourish Walk is a useful ability with two main benefits. First, it lets you collect all nearby plants with a single tap – saving you time and effort compared to gathering them individually. You can quickly collect dozens of materials this way, and even use it at your Home to easily harvest everything you’ve grown.

But there’s more! Flourish Walk lets you ‘re-grow’ plants you’ve already harvested, giving you a second chance to collect them and double your materials. This makes gathering plants for outfits or crafting incredibly easy, especially when you need a large quantity, thanks to Forest Ripple.

2. Mount Riding (Unicorn’s Vow)

A Childhood Dream Come True

Infinity Nikki is increasingly featuring mount options, and we’ve moved beyond simple bicycles to much more impressive ways to travel around Miraland. The Dreamtime Bestowed outfit from Season 2.3 is a great example, offering a beautiful and magical unicorn mount.

This season had one of the most adorable designs in the game, turning a large part of the world into a candy wonderland. The main featured outfit was heavily inspired by the pastel aesthetic of Sailor Moon, and players immediately loved it. It was amazing to see how many players created their own Sailor Moon-inspired looks!

The most exciting part of this outfit is definitely its special ability: Unicorn’s Vow: Mount. It lets you summon a super cute unicorn that you can ride to get around, and even use to truly fly – not just float or glide! The flight doesn’t last forever, but the ability recharges quickly, making it really helpful. Plus, once summoned, your unicorn companion will follow you around as you explore, so you don’t need to keep calling it back.

On top of everything else, you can ride this unicorn anywhere in the game – from Wishfield meadows to the lands of Itzaland. This makes the banner and outfit a truly exceptional choice for getting around quickly and easily.

1. Archery (Purification)

Nikki Gains Dexterity!

Nikki’s core skill, beyond her incredible fashion sense, is Purification. Throughout our adventures across Wishfield each season, Purification worked basically the same way. While you could change how it looked using Fragrances crafted from recipes found in caves, the purification process itself never changed.

Itzaland’s arrival has brought a welcome change, especially with its new Archery purification ability. This is the first special outfit you’ll get when exploring Itzaland, and it offers a unique way to purify things. You can use it not only to defeat common enemies, but also to clear obstacles and collect items.

Using Purification with rapid arrow fire feels much more rewarding and streamlined. It also makes completing Realm of the Dark trials significantly less repetitive, and you can enhance this ability even further by customizing it within the Heart of Infinity system and choosing from a variety of bows, each with its own special qualities.
