While a delay from Naughty Dog is possible, current hiring trends – especially in localization – and reports of people playing the game suggest they’re nearing completion. This indicates the game’s content is finalized and everything is locked in, leading Moriarty to believe a release within the next year is probable.
Okay, so Sony and Naughty Dog haven’t officially said when we’ll get ‘Intergalactic,’ so don’t get too hyped just yet! But, Naughty Dog’s been quietly working on ‘The Heretic Prophet’ since 2020, which means we might actually see something before the end of the year. It’d be launching in a seriously crowded year with games like GTA 6 and Wolverine coming out, but I think Naughty Dog can definitely compete. It’s kinda funny, actually – the first ‘Last of Us’ came out at the same time as ‘GTA 5,’ so it’d be a cool coincidence if the new games went head-to-head for Game of the Year again!
