Intergalactic Won’t Be Out In 2026 Report States, But It Is Playable Now

According to Jason Schreier from Bloomberg, who shared this information on ResetEra, it appears that the release of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet has been delayed and won’t be coming out in 2026. He had previously suggested that both these games would be early previews, but neither will be available next year.

In his reference, Schreier mentioned The Witcher 4, a game that might not be available until as late as 2027.

Schreier pointed out another game he was talking about, which is The Witcher 4 and it appears that we won’t see it before 2027 at the soonest.

Although Naughty Dog has yet to unveil any new details about Intergalactic since its first appearance, they have confirmed that the game is currently playable and remarkably impressive.

Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog shared this during an interview with IGN at HBO’s premiere for The Last of Us Season 2: “We’ve been testing it in the office, and it’s amazing,” he said, expressing his eagerness to unveil gameplay. He hinted that what we’ve seen so far is merely a tiny fraction of what the game has to offer, as there’s much more depth to explore beyond its initial glimpses.

It seems that Naughty Dog has not yet announced a release date for Intergalactic, and given the anticipated release of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 6, it is highly unlikely that Intergalactic will be released this year. This is because any game releasing around the same time as GTA 6 would likely struggle to compete due to its massive popularity and influence. This is a consideration that many game publishers take into account, as some are even holding off on announcing their release dates until more information about GTA 6’s release becomes available.

If you’re eagerly anticipating Naughty Dog’s upcoming title, it’s possible we may catch a glimpse of it this year, but it seems doubtful given Sony’s focus on releasing games like Ghost of Yotei earlier.
