We’re excited to offer more in-depth content that explores the world behind video games – the industry we all enjoy. To do this, we’re launching a new YouTube channel called Pause for Thought. We’ll be interviewing the people who make games happen – including voice actors, developers, streamers, and content creators – anyone who helps shape the gaming experience.

Pausing to Take a Deeper Look at What Shapes Our Industry

We’re launching a new series called Character Select to kick things off here on the channel! The show will feature interviews with the talented voice actors behind your favorite games, exploring their careers and how they got started. Joining us as host is Naomi Kyle, who you might already know from Daily Fix, her YouTube channel, or other Game Rant shows like CL1P IT! She’s an actor, host, producer, and streamer, and we’re thrilled to have her!

In the first episode of the podcast, Naomi interviewed Erika Ishii, a well-known performer in gaming, animation, and comedy. Many will recognize her as the voice of Atsu in Ghost of Yotei, but she’s also played characters like Rook in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sektor in Mortal Kombat 1, and Valkyrie in Apex Legends. Beyond gaming, Erika performs comedy on the Dropout streaming platform, appearing in shows like Dimension 20, Game Changer, and Make Some Noise. She’s also a co-creator of Worlds Beyond Number, a popular storytelling collective, alongside Aabria Iyengar, Brennan Lee Mulligan, and Lou Wilson.
