There are still a lot of stories to come out of Invincible, and the Amazon Prime Video animated series can continue for countless more seasons, with some of the best arcs to come still unexplored. The best Invincible arcs are extremely important for the overarching story that deserves to be featured in the show, and it’s an exciting time for whenever those events do transpire.
With over 140 issues in the Invincible comic, along with plenty of spin-offs at the ready, it’s time to look back at some of the most important arcs in the comic series that will definitely be adapted in big ways for the Invincible animated series.

8. Omni-Man Joins the Coalition of Planets
Omni-Man Helps the C.O.P. Find the Tools to Defeat Viltrumites
- Featured in: Invincible #66-67
Omni-Man’s journey from a conquerer to a hero provides him with an extensive and necessary redemption arc, and it all starts with the charming Allen the Alien, who breaks him out of the Viltrumite prison where he was supposed to be executed so that he can live for something greater. Omni-Man and Allen aid the Coalition of Planets by discovering resources and allies to defeat the Viltrumites once and for all.
While a noticeably short arc, it’s still vitally important to his character that shows him and Allen bonding as best friends, and fighting across the galaxy to find what they need to prepare for the final war with the Viltrum Empire, including the dreaded Scourge Virus that can easily kill a Viltrumite.
7. The Viltrumite War
Invincible Heads Into Space to Battle the Viltrum Empire
- Featured in: Invincible #71-78
It’s all come down to this, one of the most important arcs that will have Invincible pushed to his hardest yet. Mark and Oliver leave Earth behind for their father, Nolan, in an attempt to stop the Viltrumites once and for all. It’s a space-faring adventure where Invincible is tested beyond what he knows, starting with a rematch with a Viltrumite he thought he had killed.
What ensues in the Viltrumite War is of epic proportions as the Grayson family battle alongside Space Racer, Allen, and Thaedus to put a stop to the Viltrumite tyranny right on their doorstep from their majestically destroyed homeworld.
6. Monster-Girl and Robot Spend 500 Years in the Flaxan Dimension
Monster-Girl and Robot Spend Hundreds of Years in Another Dimension

Featured in: Invincible #92-96
A captivating subplot unfolding in the narrative of Invincible, which significantly contributes to the character growth of Monster-Girl and Robot, revolves around their journey into the Flaxan Dimension. Their mission was to halt the invasions permanently by altering it from within, but instead, they encountered turmoil and unexpected disclosures.
Robot becomes the emperor of this dimension and sees now that the only way to peace is through ruling with fear and death, while Monster-Girl vows to stop him alongside rebel factions that father her son. Their relationship is never the same after they return, having aged 12 years, but having experienced over 500 years in the Flaxan Dimension.
5. Invincible & Dinosaurus “Fix” the World
Invincible Becomes a Villain and Works with a Monster

- Featured in: Invincible #84-100
After Dinosaurus glasses Las Vegas, Invincible can’t help but show a level of impressiveness to his master plan, for while Dinosaurus’ tactics are diabolical, the results do result in a cleaner and more efficient Earth that will eventually help humanity. So, Mark comes to the conclusion that Dinosaurus can be shaped into a hero, with the right fist to guide him.
Mark steals Dinosaurus from the Pentagon cell that contains him and vows to work alongside him, even if the world and his former allies view him as a villain. Has Mark gone too far this time, and will Dinosaurus be kept in check?
4. Trapped in Mohawk Mark’s Dimension
Robot Betrays Mark, Leaving Him in a Viltrumite-Ruled Earth

- Featured in: Invincible #108-109
Mark’s been troubled by something – the knowledge that Angstrom Levy remains at large in some other realm. This Angstrom was kidnapped by an alternate version of Invincible known as Mohawk Mark, who survived the Invincible War. This dark counterpart uses Angstrom as both a prisoner and experimental subject. To put an end to Angstrom’s powers permanently, Robot and Invincible embark on a mission to this dimension.
What occurs next is Robot’s biggest betrayal, as he leaves Invincible stranded in this universe, so he has little opposition to stop him from controlling Earth. Mark is forced to find a way to escape this evil dimension to return home and stop Robot, before the Viltrumites catch on to the fact that he’s not their Mohawk Mark.
3. Mark & Eve’s Talescria Adventure
Mark and Eve Leave Earth for a New World with a New Family

- Featured in: Invincible #117-123
When Mark and Eve decide to have a child, they deem it best to raise their new Terra on Talescria, the founding planet for the Coalition of Planets. There’s too much guilt and hatred on Earth, so moving on to another world becomes an important step in their relationship, especially if they are to raise a daughter together.
What ensues is often hilarious antics of trying to adapt to new life in an alien city, while also enjoying the fears and thrills of parenthood. Mark and Eve are first-time parents, and Terra is certainly going to give them quite the commotion in a foreign world.
2. The Invincible Reboot
Mark is Given the Chance to Right His Wrongs

- Featured in: Invincible #123-126
A strange entity found deep within an alien cave gives Mark a choice to go back in time and fix his mistakes, to right the wrongs of his past, and to save millions of lives. Mark, without his consent, is thrust back into the origins of the series where he first obtained his powers, complete with the knowledge of his father’s betrayal and the invasions that would take the lives of so many.
Mark spends his time fixing the past by saving so many people, including his father but mourns the life he has left behind. Mark misses his daughter and Eve, but will he disgrace the chance to save millions just for two people, and will those two people be the same when he returns?
1. The Robot War
Invincible Must Stop Robot from Conquering Earth

- Featured in: Invincible #142
After hundreds of years in the Flaxan Dimension, and after leaving Mark stranded in an alternate dimension after killing Angstrom Levy, Robot has initiated his greatest plan yet: take over Earth as its sole ruler to make it a peaceful place. Robot clearly has the brain for the job, and the experience in the Flaxan Dimension, but is it ethical to become a global dictator where opposition is death?
In this scenario, a robot serves as the ruler of our planet, and its actions of eliminating both noble heroes and petty criminals alike suggest that it’s become a tyrant. To counteract this oppressive regime, Invincible, along with the remaining Earth-based superheroes, wages war to preserve humanity’s freedom from the robot’s grasp.
