inZOI: How to Fix Crashing or Stuck Screen

inZOI delivers a unique, immersive life simulation adventure for gamers, boasting dynamic game mechanics. Yet, this intricate gameplay requires a substantial system to run smoothly. The game’s realistic visuals demand high processing power, which may pose challenges for players using less powerful devices.

Much like other games still in development, inZOI may encounter technical glitches such as unexpected closures or unresponsive screens, which can disrupt gameplay for several players due to these interruptions. This guide aims to equip you with the necessary solutions to tackle inZOI crashing issues and frozen screen predicaments.

How to Fix inZOI Crash or Stuck Screen

Here are six helpful suggestions to consider when dealing with an inZOI application that keeps crashing or freezing for extended periods:

1. First, ensure your system meets the minimum requirements needed to run the inZOI software.
2. Make sure you have the latest version of the software installed on your device.
3. Restart your computer or device and try running the application again.
4. Check for any pending updates or patches related to the inZOI application.
5. If possible, uninstall and then re-install the inZOI software to see if that resolves the issue.
6. If none of the above solutions work, consider reaching out to inZOI technical support for further assistance.

Check System Requirements

To avoid encountering problems with the game, make certain that your computer’s specifications meet or exceed the game’s minimum system requirements. Given that the game requires advanced hardware, less powerful computers may find it difficult to run smoothly.

Steps to check system specifications:

  1. Press Win + R, type dxdiag, and press Enter.
  2. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will then display your Processor, RAM, and GPU, which you must compare with the minimum inZOI system specification.

Update Graphics Drivers

Frequently, using old or damaged graphics drivers may lead to numerous video games freezing or crashing. Given that performance-intensive games such as inZOI heavily rely on graphic processing, it’s crucial to keep your graphics driver up-to-date to ensure optimal performance, prevent crashes, and minimize lags.

How to update graphics drivers:

  1. For NVIDIA users:
    • Download and install GeForce Experience.
    • Login using your account, and go to the Drivers tab.
    • Check for any latest updates. If your driver is not updated, click on Update Driver, and the latest graphic driver will be automatically updated and installed.
    • Once installed, restart your computer.
  2. For AMD users:
    • Download and install AMD Radeon Software.
    • Login, and then go to the drivers menu,
    • Check for any latest driver updates, and install any pending updates.
    • Restart your computer.
  3. For Intel users:
    • Visit the Intel Driver & Support Assistant.
    • Check for the latest driver release.
    • Download the latest driver version and install it on your computer.
    • After the installation process is done, restart your PC.

Verify Game Files

A problem with the game files being corrupted in inZOI can lead to various malfunctions. This issue can usually be resolved by checking and verifying the integrity of the game files.

Follow these simple steps to verify your game files using Steam.

  1. Login to your Steam account and open your game library.
  2. Right click on inZOI and click on Properties.
  3. Click on the Installed Files menu.
  4. Click on Verify Integrity of game files.

Adjust In-Game Settings

In simpler terms, it’s possible that the automatic settings for the game might be too demanding for your computer, particularly if your system is less powerful. But don’t worry! The game inZOI offers a convenient option to set the default settings to Low. This will adjust all the necessary settings for you.

By personally tailoring my settings, I can fine-tune the game for optimal performance, minimize crashes, and prevent those pesky frozen screens – a fan’s dream!

Turn Off Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling

In newer Windows releases, there’s a built-in feature called Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling. Unfortunately, it seems to trigger numerous game crashes for some users. To minimize these crashes, consider disabling the Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling.

Here is how to disable Hard-ware Accelerated GPU Scheduling:

  1. Press Win + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to System > Display > Graphics settings.
  3. Go to Change default graphics settings.
  4. Scroll down and toggle Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling to Off.
  5. Restart your computer and then login to inZOI.

Change Window Settings

Here are some adjustments you can make to your Windows settings to enhance the functionality and prevent crashes of your inZOI. These modifications will let you prioritize the performance of inZOI, thereby improving its reliability, as most of your processes will concentrate on inZOI when the game is active.

  1. Adjust Graphics Settings:
    1. Search Graphic Settings on your PC, and enter the menu.
    2. A list of installed programs will appear on the screen.
    3. From the options, click on inZOI. If you cannot find inZOI in the list, click the Browse button and add inZOI’s executable file.
    4. After clicking on the game’s icon, click on Options.
    5. Choose High Performance and then Save.
  2. Run the game as Administrator:
    1. Right-cllick on inZOI executable file.
    2. Go to Properties and then click on Compatibility.
    3. Tick on Run the program in compatibility mode and then choose Windows 8 from the dropdown menu.
    4. Tick on Disable fullscreen optimizations.
    5. Finally, tick on Run the program as an administrator.
    6. Once all the steps are done, click Apply.
  3. Set Power Plan to High Performance:
    1. Open Control Panel.
    2. Go to Power Options.
    3. Click on High-Performance mode.
  4. Disable all Background Apps:
    1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
    2. Close all the applications running in the background that you don’t need.
