The innovative life simulation game, titled “inZOI,” offers players an unprecedented level of character customization. They can shape their characters from various aspects such as body structure, personality traits, wardrobe, and even facial features through facial capture technology. The game’s unique selling proposition lies in the vast freedom it provides within the world of “inZOI.
After spending numerous hours personalizing Zois and their dwellings, certain players might desire to capture a snapshot to exhibit their creative design. Consequently, they can utilize the Photo Mode, whether on the city streets or within the Photo Studio. Here’s a rundown of how to snap photos in inZOI , along with an explanation of every aspect of the Photo Mode.
How to Take Pictures (Use Photo Mode)
When players initially join the game inZOI and set up their unique Zois on the “Create a Zoi” interface, they can capture photos by clicking the camera icon located at the top toolbar. This feature is accessible even after personalizing your character and exploring the open world. Once you’ve snapped a picture, you can also share it through an in-game platform called Canvas for others to appreciate.
At the moment, there isn’t an alternative keyboard shortcut for users who typically opt for keyboard shortcuts over clicking on the toolbar.
How to Customize Characters in Photo Mode
When you’re ready to modify your character’s expression or pose in the photo, simply tap on Zoi, which is located in the center of your camera screen. You’ll notice a white border around the character when you hover over them. This will give you access to various Expressions and Poses that you can adjust. Remember, only one Expression or Pose can be applied at a time.
- Expression: Change your Zoi’s facial expression for the picture. A total of 10 basic expressions are available to choose from, and you can even use the Facial Capture facility by clicking the smiley face icon at the bottom right to upload new expressions.
- Poses: Over 40 poses can be adopted to change your Zoi’s poses while taking the picture. There are static and dynamic poses, and similar to expression, you can upload videos or images of a pose to integrate them into the game.
How to Adjust Camera Options in Photo Mode
When I tap on the Photo Mode icon, it defaults to capturing Portrait shots. To switch things up, simply move to Landscape Mode by pressing and holding the shutter button sideways. While in Photo Mode, time will automatically freeze, but you can resume it by hitting the Play button at the bottom left corner. If you’re not happy with the lighting, adjust it using the slider located at the top right of your screen.
Clicking the icon at the bottom right corner switches to Selfie Mode for a quick, close-up shot of your Zois. Additional features like Field of View (FOV) and Depth of Field (DOF) can be found in the Camera Options on the same row. To eliminate the background, activate the Remove Background option. Lastly, you can adjust the Screen Ratio using the icon at the bottom left corner, which will affect how your final image is composed.

Lastly, upon taking a photo, it’s automatically stored in the storage device folder. Simply tap the image icon located at the bottom left to swiftly access that folder and preview all the photos captured within the inZOI application.
