InZOI Shatters The Sims 4’s Player Count in Record Time

Summary

  • InZOI surpassed The Sims 4’s player count on Steam with over 72,000 players in 24 hours.
  • Early access reviews of InZOI have been positive, highlighting character creation and graphics.
  • InZOI developers faced controversy over Denuvo DRM but confirmed its removal for the game’s launch.

On its debut day, the game InZOI managed to exceed the number of simultaneous players that The Sims 4 had at its release. This is quite significant, given how widely played The Sims 4 is, and it suggests a robust start for InZOI.

First unveiled in 2023, the game titled “InZOI” was created by InZOI Studio and published by Krafton. So far, early access reviews for “InZOI” have been overwhelmingly favorable, with many critics lauding its character creation features, stunning visuals, and freedom, but expressing concerns about occasional bugs.

Currently, the game titled “InZOI” has made a strong debut in early access and swiftly surpassed the number of concurrent players for “The Sims 4” on Steam within hours. As per data from SteamDB, “InZOI” reached a high of over 72,000 simultaneous players in the past day and continued to grow at the time this report was written. In comparison, “The Sims 4” peaked at approximately 38,000 concurrent players in the same period. It’s plausible that “InZOI” may soon surpass the all-time high of 96,328 simultaneous players for “The Sims 4“, considering its player count is still on an upward trajectory and this trend is expected to continue throughout the weekend.

InZOI Passes The Sims 4 During Its Launch Day on Steam

It’s no wonder that InZOI is performing exceptionally well, given it recently surpassed Hollow Knight: Silksong as the most wished-for game on Steam. Some of these wishes might be due to gamers needing to do so to access InZOI: Creative Studio, which lets players design characters for the game. Nevertheless, such a high number of wishes clearly demonstrates a strong anticipation for the upcoming title.

The journey to launch for the game InZOI has faced a few bumps along the way. A while ago, there was a stir regarding InZOI as its creators were allegedly incorporating the disliked Denuvo DRM in the game’s demo version. However, the developers of InZOI have since confirmed that the final release of the game will not include Denuvo, which seems to have eased the concerns of fans.

Currently, the game known as InZOI remains in its early developmental phase, and it appears that this stage may persist for some time. Recently, the developers of the title have revealed a plan or timeline, called a roadmap, for InZOI. This roadmap outlines free downloadable content (DLC) that the game will receive in the upcoming months. As per this roadmap, the life simulator is set to receive its initial free DLC, Kucingku Cat Island, in August 2025. This expansion will introduce a new city inspired by Southeast Asia into the already thriving game. Following this, between August and September, additional content and features for InZOI are expected to be introduced.
