InZOI’s Post-Launch Roadmap: What’s Coming in 2025?

The upcoming game titled “InZOI,” a life-simulation title, is set to debut on March 28, 2025, via Early Access. KRAFTON, the developer of InZOI, has unveiled its roadmap, offering players an overview of what’s in store for InZOI regarding updates and DLC. This openness about the game’s future is appreciated by many as it clarifies what players can anticipate after purchasing the Early Access version of InZOI. What’s more, the free inclusion of add-ons and expansion packs during the Early Access period has also earned praise.

For the game “InZOI”, they’ve laid out a content plan that encompasses regular free updates and at least one expansion pack. Small cosmetic and item additions for “InZOI” are scheduled for release every three months, which are considered minor updates, while there will be four significant updates in 2025. One DLC for “InZOI” is planned for 2025, themed around International Cat Day on August 8th. This special expansion will introduce a new city called “Kucingku“, inspired by Southeast Asia and depicted as a cat-themed island.

Planned DLC and First Two Major Updates for InZOI

InZOI, during its Early Access phase, will offer an affordable base game cost. During this period, all additional DLC, expansion packs, and updates will be gratis. The initial major update, slated for release in May, includes a mod kit, adoption system, and more customization options for Zoi’s body shape within the game, as well as Create-a-Zoi. This release also brings enhancements to the relationship system, improvements to build mode, new furniture, outfit updates, in-game cheat codes, and various other upgrades.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that the next significant upgrade for my beloved game, InZOI, is set to drop in August! This update will be accompanied by the Kucingku DLC. The new features include the introduction of ghostly entities into InZOI, the addition of swimming and pools, enhanced city editing tools, an AI-driven building mode, freelancer jobs, upgraded text messages and skills system, and refinements to the parenting aspect. I can hardly wait!

Final Content Updates for InZOI in 2025

The upcoming version 3 of InZOI is scheduled for release in October, offering enhancements such as family trees, customizable hotkeys, resizing options in build mode, user interface upgrades while moving houses, improvements to Create-a-Zoi, mod updates, and fresh furniture. The final update for InZOI in 2025 will be released in December, featuring a memory system, city relocation, advanced responses between Zois based on traits, more Create-a-Zoi enhancements, updates to existing features, new outfits, and an indoor temperature control function.

The Drawbacks of InZOI’s Early Access

Instead of always opting for early access in video game development, there are disadvantages that might negatively impact both the game and its players over time. Bygoing early access, you bypass the conventional marketing phase designed to generate excitement about a game. For narrative-heavy games like Baldur’s Gate 3 or Hades 2, it could potentially reveal the storyline prematurely, undermining the full impact when the game is finally released in its entirety as intended by the developer.

One concern with early access is that it involves selling an incomplete game to players who may encounter numerous bugs and glitches. To avoid making players feel like they’re serving as testers, the number of these issues should be limited. Moreover, a game shouldn’t remain in early access for too long, or interest in the game might wane due to lack of progress.
