IOI announced the next Hitman elusive target: Jean-Claude Van Damme

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest addition to Hitman: World of Assassination, “The Splitter Pack”, has me absolutely thrilled! The return of Jean-Claude Van Damme as Max Valliant in an Elusive Target mission sounds like a dream come true for any action movie enthusiast.

The popular game Hitman: World of Assassination continues to thrive due to ongoing backing from IO Interactive. And guess what? A fresh Elusive Target has just been announced!

On December 12th, the DLC known as “The Splitter Pack” will be released. This pack includes a suit, various items, decorations for Freelancer mode, and permanent access to The Undying via the Elusive Target Arcade. For those who own the Free Starter Pack, The Splitter (the target) will also become available on that date.

Here’s the announcement trailer, featuring Van Damme himself:

In his latest role, Jean-Claude Van Damme portrays Max Valliant, a previous ICA operative who was thought to have been eliminated several years ago following the revelation that he had dealings with various other organizations. Miraculously escaping his assassination, he has now reemerged seeking revenge. Post his resurgence, Max Valliant has seized command of an ICA data storage facility and demanded a meeting with the ICA’s governing body.

In Chongqing, the task for Agent 47 involves three critical objectives: safeguarding an ICA board member within the compound, exposing Max Valliant’s evil plan, and ultimately eliminating Max Valliant. This assignment, featuring a relentless and unyielding adversary whose apparent vulnerability lies in his overconfidence, promises to be unlike any other mission Agent 47 has faced.

The Elusive Target mission is available to play, for free, for newcomers to HITMAN in the Free Starter Pack, with the possibility of replaying the mission as many times as they wish, for the mission’s duration. HITMAN World of Assassination players can play the Elusive Target mission for free, but with only one chance at success. They can also gain permanent access to an Arcade mission featuring The Splitter through The Splitter Pack.

IOI announced the next Hitman elusive target: Jean-Claude Van Damme

Max Valliant is an engaging character, full of action movie villain vibe, he’s ruthless without a doubt, and, yes, he can even perform the splits! as stated by Jean-Claude Van Damme. The Splitter mission offers plenty of excitement, much like any good action film, and in true action style, HITMAN players will encounter some unexpected twists, but I’ll leave it to them to discover these on their own.

The Splitter pack will cost £3.99 ($4.99/€4.99) and includes:

  • Permanent Access to the Replication – A two-level Arcade contract featuring The Splitter Elusive Target
  • The Splitter SMG
  • The Splitter Kukri Knife
  • The “Good Quar Vol. 3” VHS Tape
  • A set of six cosmetics for the Freelancer Safehouse inspired by the Elusive Target

Beginning on December 12th, we’ll kick off a new content plan in tandem with The Splitter. This update will introduce three community-inspired challenges in the World of Assassination, along with fresh Featured Contracts and returning ElusiveTargets. From December 12th, 2024 to January 8th, 2025, viewers on Twitch can earn the Purple Streak ICA19 Classic Baller by watching an hour of HITMAN World of Assassination. If you support Twitch streamers with a subscription during this same period, you’ll also have the opportunity to unlock the Purple Streak Boxer Suit.
