- Ironmouse drops to third in Twitch active subscribers after evelone2004 surpasses her record.
- Evelone2004 gained over 350,000 subs during a tournament, mostly through gifted subs.
As a dedicated cinephile who has spent countless hours immersed in the ever-evolving world of streaming, I find myself constantly in awe of the dramatic twists and turns that unfold on platforms like Twitch. The recent rise of evelone2004 from relative obscurity to a subscriber powerhouse is a tale as captivating as any blockbuster movie I’ve ever watched.
On December 14th, Ironmouse found herself moving down to third position among the most popular active subscribers on Twitch. This shift occurred due to a sudden surge in popularity for a Twitch account boasting less than 20,000 active subscribers.
In September 2024, Ironmouse created history with a subathon, which boosted her Twitch account to an astounding 306,621 subscribers, making her the top streamer in terms of active subscribers. However, this record was broken shortly afterward by Kai Cenat. During his viral “Mafiathon 2” stream, he surpassed Ironmouse’s count, amassing over 700,000 active subscribers.
Meanwhile, Ironmouse has been surpassed in rank, placing her third. During the Perfect World CS2 Shanghai Major, Twitch streamer Evelone2004 amassed over 350,000 subscribers. This was during his coverage of the tournament where Team Spirit from Russia triumphed against FaZe Clan to claim victory. Given that Evelone2004 streams in Russian, his account attracted a significant number of viewers cheering for Team Spirit throughout the broadcast. Initially, his channel had less than 20,000 subscribers, but by the tournament’s end, it boasted over 350,000 active subscribers, a million followers, and ranked among the top five most-subscribed channels across the entire platform.
Evelone2004’s New Record Was Largely Gifted
Interestingly, according to TwitchTracker, the vast majority of the subs evelone2004 gained during the competition were gifted. A tremendous 343,706 subs were apparently gifted to other users during the stream. Since Twitch varies its subscription fee based on where users are located, the price to subscribe in Russia and Ukraine is lower than in places like the United States. Since the majority of his viewers may have been located in Russian-speaking territories, it makes this number slightly more approachable. However, it’s still an incredible achievement.
While Evelone2004 might seem an unexpected success story at first glance, it’s not entirely unprecedented. The individual behind this account had a relatively small following on that specific platform under the username Evelone2004. However, they possess another account, Evelone192, which boasts an impressive 2.4 million followers. It’s plausible that some viewers from the larger account switched over to watch content on Evelone2004, thereby boosting its visibility and attracting more gifted subscriptions, or donations, as a result.
It’s yet unclear if Ironmouse can regain her position as the most popular streamer by number of subscribers, considering Kai Cenat’s current record. However, given the challenges she faces with her health, it’s not impossible for her to achieve this feat. With her improving health, Ironmouse has been consistently gaining more followers and subscribers. Furthermore, winning the ‘Best Vtuber’ category at the Streamer Awards for the third year in a row will undoubtedly attract more viewers to her channel.
