Don’t Scream Together recreates the scary experience of the first game, but now you can play with friends, making it even more frightening. We’re investigating whether it will be available on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

You might not have heard of Don’t Scream, and honestly, that might be a good thing for your peace of mind! This indie game became a viral hit in 2023 thanks to its old-school graphics and incredibly tense atmosphere. The core idea is simple: just… don’t scream. After a full launch in 2024, the game proved incredibly popular, and its developer, Digital Cybercherries, is now working on a multiplayer version, Don’t Scream Together, which fans are hoping will come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox.

Will Don’t Scream Together Come To PS5 Consoles?

Okay, so good news and bad news. The bad news is Don’t Scream Together isn’t coming to PS5 right now. But the developers haven’t completely ruled it out for the future, which gives me hope! It’s a bummer for now, but maybe someday we’ll be screaming together on PlayStation 5!

Digital Cybercherries, the developer of Don’t Scream, has announced that the upcoming multiplayer version will initially be available on PC via Steam.

On the game’s official Discord server, a community post outlines this quite clearly:

We’re excited to share that an enhanced and expanded version of DON’T SCREAM, called DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER, will be released on Steam soon!

There’s no mention of consoles, and it’s not even addressed anywhere in the news or info threads.

Will Don’t Scream Together Come To Xbox Series X|S Consoles?

Just a heads-up for my fellow Xbox players: it looks like Don’t Scream Together isn’t coming to any Xbox consoles – not the Series X|S or even the older Xbox One – at least for now. It’s a bummer, but I wanted to let you all know!

This conclusion is similar to our review of the PS5 version. It appears Digital Cybercherries is prioritizing perfecting the PC version of Don’t Scream Together before considering a release on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.
