Is Hytale on PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S? All Platforms, Explained

The release of Hytale is almost here, but not everyone will be able to play right away because of limitations on which devices it’s available on.

I’m so excited! Hytale is finally entering early access on January 13th! It’s going to be a long road to the full game, and the developers have a lot of work ahead of them, but I can’t wait to start playing and see how it evolves.

As a Hytale fan, I was wondering where I could actually play the game, and TopMob has a really helpful guide that lays it all out. It tells you exactly what platforms Hytale is available on!

Is Hytale on PlayStation 5?

Currently, Hytale is only available on PC and is launching as an early access game for that platform. The developers do plan to release it on other consoles, like PlayStation 5, at a later date.

Although the company didn’t name any specific gaming systems, Patrick ‘Lyall’ Derbic, the executive director, stated they plan to release the game on consoles eventually, but probably not until after the early access phase is over.

Okay, so Hytale’s early access release date is still up in the air, and honestly, it’s going to be a while before it hits PlayStation. They haven’t given us a timeframe, and it all depends on how development goes, so don’t expect it anytime soon. It’s going to be a pretty lengthy wait, that’s for sure.

Is Hytale on Xbox Series X|S?

Currently, Hytale is only available on PC as it begins its early access phase. It’s not yet playable on Xbox Series X|S, but the developers at Hypixel Studios intend to release it on other platforms down the line.

Before Hytale enters early access, the developers have confirmed a console version is planned. However, Xbox players won’t be able to play it during the early access phase. They’ll have to wait until the game’s official, full release to play on Microsoft consoles.

Since we don’t know how long the early access period will be, it’s possible the game won’t come to Xbox Series X|S at all and will instead release for whatever consoles come after them.

Is Hytale on Nintendo Switch 2?

Currently, Hytale isn’t available on the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s only playable on PC as an early access game. The developers are considering releasing it on other platforms, but they haven’t confirmed if that will include the Switch 2 yet.

Although a release on other platforms is planned, the Nintendo Switch 2 has some differences because of its technical needs. However, Nintendo has significantly improved the console to be more competitive with other systems, as demonstrated by demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 now running on it.

It’s uncertain if Hytale will be released on consoles, but if it does happen, Xbox and PlayStation would likely be the first platforms. A release on the next Nintendo Switch might need extra work, so it could come later.
