Before its official launch, Killing Floor 3 is already generating positive responses through early testing. This closed beta allows players to preview new features, identify what functions smoothly, and pinpoint areas requiring improvement. While the second installment was entertaining with a tendency towards repetition, the third mainline release seems poised to surpass its predecessor.

Ultimately, Killing Floor 3 will be released, and should it become available on Xbox Game Pass, that’s already a win for us gamers even before we start playing the game.

Can You Play Killing Floor 3 on Xbox Game Pass?

Xbox Game Pass is not adding Killing Floor 3 to its collection of easily accessible games.

As a Microsoft Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you’ll have access to hundreds of games right at your fingertips. Many of these are even released on the service on their debut day. Unfortunately, Killing Floor 3 is not one of those day-one additions because Tripwire Interactive and Microsoft haven’t reached an agreement for it yet.

As a die-hard fan, I haven’t spotted any hints about Killing Floor 3 making its way to Game Pass yet. It’s nowhere to be found on their official store page, and neither have I seen it mentioned in trailers, pre-release materials, nor press releases.

As a gamer, I can tell you that when it comes to Xbox Game Studios titles, they’re usually included in Game Pass on day one. However, for third-party games, it isn’t guaranteed and depends on negotiations between the two parties. If an agreement isn’t reached, the game simply gets released without any special treatment from Microsoft, leaving its success up to the publisher to drive sales. In the case of Killing Floor 3, Tripwire Interactive is both developing and publishing the game, so it’s their responsibility to generate interest and revenue for the title.

Will Killing Floor 3 Come to Xbox Game Pass?

It’s uncertain if Killing Floor 3 is coming to Xbox Game Pass at any point.

In 2024, KF’s service that comes closest to Xbox’s Game Pass subscription model was when Killing Floor 2 was made available as part of a “Free Play Days” event. During this time, Game Pass subscribers could play Killing Floor 2 for several days without charge. Following the promotion, Killing Floor 2 returned to being a regular, pay-to-play game on the Xbox store.
