Everyone loved how calming and satisfying the first PowerWash Simulator was, so the big question now is whether the sequel will be just as easy to pick up and enjoy.
With the game coming out only a few weeks after its announcement trailer, now’s the perfect time to see if you’ll be able to play.
Wondering if PowerWash Simulator 2 will be available on your current console? Here’s a list of all the platforms where you’ll be able to play it, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
What Platforms is PowerWash Simulator 2 Coming To?

PowerWash Simulator 2 will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, it won’t be released on older consoles like the original Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One.
Although some players might be upset, this decision isn’t entirely unexpected. Futurlab, the team behind PowerWash Simulator 2, is a smaller independent studio, and this time they’re releasing the game themselves, unlike the original which was published with the support of Square Enix. It’s likely they’ve been prioritizing new features and optimizing the game for more powerful hardware rather than spending time supporting older consoles.
By 2025, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be twelve years old, and the Nintendo Switch will be eight. While these consoles have lasted a surprisingly long time – with new games still occasionally appearing for them – they are becoming quite outdated.
With Sony planning to phase out support for the PlayStation 4, it makes sense that PowerWash Simulator 2 wasn’t specifically designed for the older console, although it would probably still run on it.
Will PowerWash Simulator 2 Ever Come to Nintendo Switch 1, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One?
Currently, there’s no announcement about whether PowerWash Simulator 2 will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One, and it seems unlikely to happen.
As mentioned earlier, consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are getting older and less powerful, which means fewer developers are interested in making games for them. This is typical for any console generation – eventually, it becomes impractical to continue releasing new games on older systems. Considering how game prices are currently increasing, this trend isn’t very encouraging.
While you’re waiting for PowerWash Simulator 2 to come out, you can watch the game’s original announcement trailer.
