Is Shinju Jura Stronger Than Naruto Uzumaki? Boruto Powerscaling Explained

This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

The Boruto series has featured many strong characters, and Jura is widely considered the most powerful. He’s a Shinju with incredible strength, and because we haven’t seen him fight at full power, it’s hard to say exactly how he stacks up against other major villains in Boruto. Many fans are especially curious to know how Jura’s strength compares to the peak of Naruto Uzumaki, who is considered the strongest ninja of all time.

As a longtime fan, I’ve seen Naruto grow into an incredibly powerful ninja, eventually unlocking the Six Paths Powers. He even reached a point where he could use Baryon Mode, which took his abilities to a whole new level. But honestly, even at his absolute peak with Baryon Mode, I don’t think Naruto would stand a chance against Jura. Jura is just on another level of power.

Jura Is Far Stronger Than Naruto Uzumaki In Boruto

Jura is established as the most powerful of the Shinju. His power level surpasses anything viewers have seen so far in the series. Unlike the other Shinju, who are formed from human chakra like Sasuke’s, Jura originates directly from the essence of the Ten-Tails, essentially being its physical form. This unique origin is what sets him apart and confirms his status as the strongest Shinju.

The chances of beating him are lower than one in a million. — Kashin Koji to Boruto

Jura Is Almost Impossible To Kill

Jura recently demonstrated his incredible abilities in battles against powerful opponents like Himawari, and later, Boruto and Kawaki. His fight with Kawaki was especially noteworthy, strongly suggesting to fans that Jura is virtually indestructible. This was later confirmed by Amado, who stated that Jura’s regeneration and the power of the Ten Tails make him almost impossible to kill, even for Kawaki at full strength with all of Isshiki’s powers.

Simply put, Jura is stronger than Naruto Uzumaki. Even in his most powerful Six Paths form, Naruto likely wouldn’t be able to inflict significant damage. While Naruto could still hit Jura with strong attacks, he wouldn’t win a fight. To have a real chance, Naruto would need to use Baryon Mode, but that transformation isn’t sustainable for long.

As it is, I think it is effectively impossible to defeat him. — Amado on Jura

While he’s powerful enough to hurt Jura and reduce his chakra levels, the Ten Tails possesses an incredibly vast amount of chakra – almost like natural energy itself. Because of this, even if Naruto manages to drain some of the Ten Tails’ chakra, he still wouldn’t be able to win the fight.

Jura Is The Strongest Villain In The Story So Far

Despite the introduction of powerful characters like Isshiki Otsutsuki, Jura is still depicted as the stronger one. This was highlighted when Kashin Koji expressed confidence that they could defeat Isshiki, provided their plan worked perfectly.

From what I’ve seen, he’s convinced that defeating Jura is practically impossible, even with the ability to see the future. He really emphasizes how unlikely it is – he puts the odds at less than one in a million. The story makes it pretty clear that Jura is significantly more powerful than Isshiki, which also means he’s far beyond anything Naruto could achieve with Baryon Mode.

The next chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, chapter 29, will be available on December 18, 2025. It will be released at 10 AM Eastern Time / 3 PM Coordinated Universal Time. Fans can read it for free on the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
