The long-awaited chaos in the land of the Giants begins with Imu making a significant appearance in the narrative.

Among the exciting prospects in the anime series One Piece, what fans are especially eager for is the ultimate villain that Luffy and his crew will confront. It’s speculated that Oda has grandiose ideas for the Final Saga, and it might even be a member of the Straw Hat Pirates who turns out to be the final enemy, though that may sound surprising.

The Many Major Antagonists of One Piece

Imu and Blackbeard Stand Out The Most

Over the past nearly three decades, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing a captivating tale like One Piece unfold, and it’s hardly shocking that such an epic saga is home to numerous unforgettable villains. Some of these antagonists have left a lasting impression on me more so than others.

Without a doubt, Arlong stood out as the most unforgettable villain from the initial East Blue saga. His defeat signaled the conclusion of the Arlong Park storyline.

In the storyline known as the Arabasta arc, the first Shichibukai the crew encountered was none other than Sir Crocodile. He was the central villain in that arc, and his organization, Baroque Works, is still widely recognized as one of the most memorable groups within this series.

Additionally, there were numerous other formidable antagonists prior to the timeskip, including Enel, Rob Lucci, Kizaru, among others.

Following the time jump, Oda has penned numerous compelling villains, including Doflamingo, widely acclaimed as the most skillfully crafted yet, not to mention Katakuri from Whole Cake Island, who are certainly noteworthy additions.

Without a doubt, Kaido stands as the most memorable adversary since the timeskip. It was the confrontation with Kaido that triggered Luffy’s most powerful and iconic transformation, Gear 5.

While all these adversaries are undeniably formidable, they don’t represent the final showdown for the Straw Hat Pirates. More challengers are yet to enter the stage in this ongoing tale.

Blackbeard’s Looming Presence Is A Threat

Blackbeard serves as a significant adversary within the world of “One Piece,” primarily due to his role in Ace’s demise. Prior to a major event known as the timeskip, he was initially introduced. However, up until now, he hasn’t crossed paths with the Straw Hat Pirates. Blackbeard remains something of an unpredictable factor, and it appears that author Eiichiro Oda has grand designs for his character in the future.

For quite some time, Blackbeard was believed to be the ultimate antagonist, a role he might still fulfill, but currently, it’s Saint Imu Nerona who has drawn everyone’s attention as the hidden mastermind controlling the world. It is expected that both Imu and Blackbeard will make formidable villains in One Piece when their stories unfold.

The Final Villain of One Piece Could Very Well Be A Straw Hat

  • Vivi Could Be The Final Villain
  • Imu Has His Eyes on Vivi For a Good Reason

Considering all we’ve discussed so far, it’s plausible that the ultimate villain in One Piece might surprise fans given the unexpected nature of the role. Currently, Imu poses a significant threat, but in order to accomplish their objectives, Imu appears to have singled out a Straw Hat crew member – Nefertari Vivi.

Currently absent from the crew, Vivi holds an honorary position among them. As a descendant of the Arabastan royal family, her lineage traces back to the Void Century. Her ancestor was the brother of Queen Nefertari Lili of Arabasta. It’s widely believed that Lili disappeared due to circumstances surrounding Imu.

In the latest chapter 1149 of ‘One Piece’, we find out that Imu has the ability to control certain individuals’ bodies. There’s a strong possibility that he seized control of Lili’s body in the past, but due to his pursuit of Vivi, it appears he desires her body now. The motive behind this preference for Vivi is not yet clear, but it seems that Lily’s body may no longer function optimally for Imu, thus requiring a replacement – and Vivi could be an ideal candidate for this new vessel.

It’s possible that the ultimate antagonist of the series might turn out to be Vivi, under the influence of Saint Imu. This revelation could leave fans speechless and set up a grueling battle for the Straw Hat Pirates, a challenge they must overcome to secure Vivi’s safety.

With Vivi under Imu’s control, the full extent of their combined powers will come to light. It seems that without Vivi, Imu is currently limited in the narrative of the Final Saga. The significance of Vivi cannot be overemphasized in this story arc.
