For quite some time now, the App Store has been a welcoming environment for TikTok and numerous other applications. Yet, TikTok users, both old and new, are encountering challenges when using the social media app on their mobile devices. To address any confusion or queries you might have, let’s delve into the topic together.
The remarkable, unstoppable rise of TikTok to fame will likely become one of the most noteworthy tales. This popular social media app has garnered countless views (possibly surpassing trillions) and remains a daily download choice for users. However, its success is currently being challenged by Joe Biden. The 46th President of the United States recently enacted a law that seeks to ban TikTok within the U.S. borders.
It’s left TikTok and App Store users confused and could have dire consequences for the platform.
Can You Download TikTok From The App Store in the US?
In the United States, you can’t find TikTok for download on the App Store because Apple has removed it from its marketplace.
If TikTok is now operational again, you’ll only be able to use it if you’ve already got the app installed on your device. For those in the US who don’t currently have TikTok, it won’t be available for download on Apple or Android devices.
Do We Know When TikTok Will Be Back in The App Store?
Regrettably, there’s no definite timeline on when TikTok will be available again in the App Store. Neither Apple, former President Donald Trump, nor the owner, ByteDance, have provided any specific dates for its potential reinstatement.
If you reside outside of the United States, you should have no issues and TikTok is functioning normally. Unfortunately, if you’re in the US, you currently can’t download TikTok due to ongoing circumstances. However, there’s a possibility that Donald Trump’s presidency might involve a collaboration with TikTok, which means it might not be removed from app stores permanently.

Why Isn’t TikTok in The App Store?
On January 19, it became illegal for TikTok to operate within the United States. As a result, Apple was forced to remove the app from their App Store.
The social media app quickly returned to service. However, even with Donald Trump’s efforts to reestablish TikTok usage, the legal stipulations in Biden’s bill require all companies to comply until additional instructions are given.
Apple’s support page has a full rundown of why this is, and why they’ve pulled it.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that as of January 19, 2025, some favorite apps like TikTok, CapCut, Lemon8, and others developed by ByteDance Ltd. will no longer be available for download or updates in the US due to compliance with the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act. This means visitors from the US might have limited access to these apps’ features.
For the moment, you’ll need to rely on Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, and other social media platforms. Rest assured, efforts are being made to completely re-establish TikTok in all app stores. We will inform you as soon as we receive more information.
Were you forward-thinking enough to maintain TikTok on your smartphone, or are you among those who have been permanently barred from using it?
The Marvel Snap and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang have both been prohibited under the TikTok legislation. This decision has caused quite a stir among their respective fan bases.
