There are fresh whispers circulating that the third installment of Titanfall might be underway, potentially unveiled towards the end of this year, with a projected launch date in 2026.
Yearly speculations about Titanfall 3 are as common as ever, and the latest whispers hint that the game may be under production, possibly unveiled at this year’s The Game Awards, potentially launching in the year 2026.
The latest gossip stems from two separate sources known as Titanfall leaksters. On the surface, they’ve demonstrated credibility in sharing updates about Apex Legends and Titanfall events.
Initially, the user known as YOROTSUKI was the one who announced this news back in December 2024. They hinted at Respawn Entertainment developing a new game in certain Discord communities. Later on, another leaker named Osvaldatore supported this claim by tweeting an image of what appeared to be the Titanfall 3 logo. It was said that Osvaldatore had conversations with YOROTSUKI to confirm the development of the game.
The truth behind the rumors is yet to be determined (remember to approach it with skepticism), but on our upcoming TopMob podcast, we delve into the potential authenticity of the information and share what we’ve learned so far.
Based on our information, it appears that Titanfall 3 has been scrapped not once, but twice. One reason for this decision is that the game was considered too much like its predecessor, Titanfall 2. Interestingly, Respawn Entertainment has seen several other projects they’ve been working on shelved within the past year. With Apex Legends’ playerbase gradually shrinking and Star Wars Jedi serving as their main focus, it seems that Respawn may be in need of a significant new project to keep moving forward.
Based on current knowledge, it seems that at least three projects, previously undisclosed, have been terminated at Respawn Entertainment within the past year. Among them were a first-person shooter with a single-player mode set in the Apex Legends universe, a standalone Mandalorian game, and an unspecified project being developed in the incubation phase.
We’ve attempted to get a response from EA, and we’ve also been in touch with our sources to verify the validity of the speculation surrounding the topic.
