His antics are reminiscent of a modern-day Keystone Cops skit, complete with over-the-top stunts that would make even Buster Keaton raise an eyebrow.
The contentious and energetic streamer, IShowSpeed, who gained fame for his flamboyant behavior and questionable performances, has recently shattered his highest viewer count record. Lately, he’s been on a global tour, and his latest destination was Thailand. During his stay, he’s been seen engaging in hours of exuberant antics while being filmed.
It was revealed that he hit a peak count of 610,000 users, which is a fair distance past his previous record of 548,000 users. He secured the previous record while attending 2023’s Ballon D’or ceremony.
Into a Wall
On September 9th, IShowSpeed took to streaming while sitting in the driver’s compartment of a Thai Tuk Tuk. Shortly after grabbing the wheel, he collided with a wall, apparently unaware that he was operating a manual transmission vehicle equipped with a clutch.

It made for great watching, but many believed it was nothing more than a bit, which gels nicely with IShowSpeed’s traditional operating model.
Earlier, he had jumped over moving vehicles, ignited fireworks inside his room, and supposedly showed himself inappropriately during a live broadcast.
In a surprisingly quick span, IShowSpeed, originally known as Darren Jason Watkins Jr., has rapidly climbed the ladder in the world of streaming. Originally a sporadic Fortnite game broadcaster, he’s now a popular streaming sensation, frequently appearing live during WWE events and even rubbing shoulders with sports legends like Cristiano Ronaldo.
