Scump is a highly accomplished Call of Duty player who’s often considered the most successful professional in the community. Over the past decade, he’s cultivated a large following and refined his skills, and now that he’s taken a break from active competition, he’s become one of the most-viewed streamers in the game. Despite the passage of time, he continues to represent OpTic Gaming.

During a recent stream, Scump explained how he and so many people feel about Call of Duty:

currently, the situation with Call of Duty is quite dire, friend. Frankly, I can’t recall a time when it was as bad as it is now for CoD. Honestly, it’s rather disheartening.

Initially, I had some apprehensions regarding the timing of their rank releases, considering the commencement of the CDL. Then, we took a one-month hiatus from the CDL, which further increased my worry about the whole situation.

They dropped it so early and then they dropped it and it was so bad because of all the hackers.

After providing more information, he mentioned that he’s cutting back on playing Call of Duty a bit and switching to streaming different games instead. Interestingly, Nadeshot recently made a similar change, moving away from Black Ops 6 to focus on Marvel Rivals.

As a dedicated fan of Black Ops 6, I’ve been grappling with hackers for quite some time now, and it feels like they’re lurking around every corner in Ranked Play. This situation has made the game borderline unplayable for skilled players like me, and it seems like the more average gamers are also struggling due to poor network performance and tricky SBMM mechanics.
