As the story of One Piece reaches its climax, a spiritual energy called Haki is proving to be incredibly important. Everyone in the One Piece world possesses Haki, but very few people actually unlock its power. And even fewer still can master it completely. A rare and special type of Haki, known as Conqueror’s Haki, is possessed by only about one in a million people, and only a select few of those can truly harness its full potential.

Watching the story unfold in the Final Saga, it’s clear Oda has introduced a lot of characters with incredible Haki. But if I had to pick just three who truly seem to have mastered it, those are the ones I think we’ll see leading the charge in the upcoming arcs, especially when we finally get to Elbaf and beyond. They really stand out as the most powerful.

Haki has always been a crucial ability in One Piece. While it wasn’t essential in the first half of the Grand Line, surviving in the New World without it would be extremely challenging.

Haki is incredibly valuable due to its many uses. Observation Haki is like a sixth sense, letting users anticipate attacks, read emotions, and assess the strength of others – essentially giving them a heightened awareness of their surroundings. Armament Haki, on the other hand, allows users to strengthen their body with a spiritual force, boosting both attack and defense. Crucially, Armament Haki can even overcome the powers of Devil Fruits, making it effective against all types and ignoring any protection they provide.

I’ve noticed that Devil Fruit powers, while strong, have their limits. Kaido put it best – true strength and overcoming the toughest challenges really come down to Haki. It’s not just about what power you have, but how you use it, and Haki seems to be the key to unlocking that potential.

Conqueror’s Haki is a powerful ability that allows a user to intimidate others and significantly boosts their attack and defense. It’s considered essential for survival in the treacherous New World. Currently, three characters in One Piece demonstrate this power most prominently: Shanks, Garp, and Imu.

The Most Experienced Haki Users In One Piece

Throughout the One Piece story, legendary figures like Joy Boy, Gol D. Roger, and the Rocks Pirates were incredibly skilled in Haki, but they are no longer alive. Currently, only three characters are considered true masters of Haki: Shanks, Garp, and Imu.

It’s pretty clear why Imu is such a powerful Haki user. We saw in God Valley that their Haki surpassed even legendary figures like Roger and Rocks – even combined attacks from five incredibly strong opponents couldn’t break through it. This was reinforced when Imu demonstrated their overwhelming Haki on Elbaf. Currently, Imu is likely the strongest Haki user in the One Piece world.

Shanks is widely considered the most skilled Haki user of his generation. Like Garp and Roger, he doesn’t rely on Devil Fruit powers, instead mastering Haki as his primary fighting method. He’s demonstrated advanced Haki techniques more than anyone else, proving his specialization. In fact, he’s the only known character capable of defeating opponents like Loki, highlighting the unmatched strength of his Haki. This clearly establishes Shanks as a true Haki master.

Luffy Will Surpass All Haki Masters Eventually

Luffy will eventually become a master of all three types of Haki, including Conqueror’s Haki. He’s already made significant progress with Armament and Observation Haki, but still needs to develop his Conqueror’s Haki further. The upcoming Elbaf arc is designed to help him do just that, and by the end of the series, Luffy will surpass even experts like Shanks in his mastery of Haki.
