In the Naruto series, creator Masashi Kishimoto developed a number of strong ninja families. Within the Hidden Leaf Village, the Uchiha clan is consistently presented as the most powerful and fascinating. The Uchiha existed long before the village was founded and played a key role in its creation, partnering with Hashirama and the Senju clan to build it.

Over time, the Uchiha clan, despite helping to build the village, faced increasing mistreatment and found themselves in a desperate situation. This led to plans for a takeover, but before it could happen, Itachi Uchiha tragically killed all of his clan members except for his younger brother, Sasuke. Later, Itachi also died, leaving Sasuke as the last Uchiha. Many fans hoped to see the Uchiha clan return in Boruto, but that hasn’t happened. It now appears the clan may be fading away for good, and fans should prepare for that possibility.

As a longtime fan of Naruto, it’s clear to me that the Uchiha clan stands out above all others. The story really revolves around them – a huge part of the narrative focuses on their history and struggles. It feels like the most powerful villains and the most incredible abilities consistently come from the Uchiha lineage. Honestly, I think they’re the core of the entire series, and that’s something that will likely always be true.

When it comes to powerful abilities, the Uchiha clan consistently stands out. From the standard Sharingan to the more advanced Mangekyo Sharingan – which unlocks abilities like the Susanoo – the Uchiha have always possessed the most fascinating powers. Even the Rinnegan is linked to the Uchiha, as it can only be awakened by someone of their lineage through the combination of Indra and Asura’s chakra. This makes it clear that the Uchiha will remain a special and beloved part of the story and its fanbase.

It appears the Uchiha clan is receiving less and less attention over time, and their small numbers suggest they may eventually disappear. While Sasuke Uchiha currently leads the clan, he’s been sidelined and sealed away in the Boruto series, limiting his ability to help. This leaves Sarada as the only significant Uchiha character remaining, indicating the clan is nearing extinction.

Kishimoto Has Destroyed The Uchiha Legacy In Boruto

Fans want the story to stay fresh, but also want to see more of the Uchiha clan. Currently, Sarada is the only Uchiha character who really matters, and she seems destined to be the last one. Once Sarada becomes Hokage, the Boruto series will likely end, meaning the Uchiha clan could disappear with her. While it’s possible she might continue the family line later, that doesn’t seem probable right now.

It seems Sarada will likely be the last of the Uchiha clan, which is really sad for fans of the series.

Even With Sarada, The Uchiha Are Not Important Anymore

As a viewer, it’s pretty clear the Uchiha clan isn’t actually going to disappear in Boruto. Even if things get tough for them, they’ve already had their moment, so to speak. It feels like the clan’s legacy rests on her shoulders.

It’s important to remember that while Sarada Uchiha leads the new generation of the Uchiha Clan, the history and traditions of the clan aren’t really explored in the Boruto series. Sarada is focused on her own ambitions – protecting the village and becoming Hokage – which aren’t tied to her clan’s legacy. Ultimately, the creators have successfully made Sarada a unique character, separate from the typical expectations associated with the Uchiha Clan from the start.

Sarada continues to wield the Uchiha clan’s powers, like the Sharingan and Mangekyo Sharingan. However, the clan itself is largely considered gone, with Sasuke being its last remaining member. It’s a shame that the once-powerful Uchiha have fallen to such a diminished state, especially because of a conflict involving an alien invasion. Hopefully, things will improve for them in the future.

Fans Want Sasuke Uchiha To Return Immediately

Even though the Uchiha clan is fading in the Boruto series, many fans are still hoping Sasuke will return. Having Sasuke around in Konoha would at least allow fans to see the spirit of the clan live on.

The Boruto series currently lacks strong Uchiha characters who could develop the clan’s history and the legacy of Indra Otsutsuki. While Sasuke still possesses the potential to reveal important information, his reduced role in the series makes it unlikely that he will.

Fans are eager to see him fight again, especially alongside his daughter against challenging opponents. As the last of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke and Sarada should always be the first to defend Konoha and lead the charge.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is the continuation of the Boruto story, created by Mikio Ikemoto with supervision from Masashi Kishimoto. The series picks up three years after a major event called Omnipotence, and follows Boruto Uzumaki as he tries to protect the world, alongside his brother Kawaki.
