With the start of the final saga of One Piece in late 2022, the story is steadily moving towards its conclusion. Eiichiro Oda, the creator, is now in the final stretch of the series, and although it will likely continue for several years, each new chapter brings the end closer. The beginning of the Final Saga signifies that Luffy and his crew will be pushed to their limits, and the main villain will take center stage as the story progresses.

Many One Piece fans believe Blackbeard will be the last major enemy, and that’s a strong possibility. However, the true villain could surprisingly be someone connected to the Straw Hat crew – Vivi. Author Eiichiro Oda has subtly hinted at this possibility throughout the story, and while it might be shocking, Vivi has a real chance of becoming the final villain in One Piece.

Vivi Could Be The Last Villain If She’s Captured By Imu

Nefertari Vivi is a key figure in the later parts of the One Piece story, and fans recognize her importance. From the beginning, it was clear she’d play a big role, but it’s also been revealed that the World Government is actively pursuing her. During the Reverie arc, Vivi nearly fell into their hands, but she was saved by Wapol and Morgans. However, Imu, the mysterious leader, has directly ordered the Five Elders (Gorosei) to capture her, suggesting he has specific reasons for wanting her – reasons that are currently unknown.

  • Imu could be romantically attracted to Vivi, since she resembles Nefertari Lily in appearance and he might want to marry her.
  • Imu might want a new vessel for himself.

It appears Imu has the ability to inhabit the bodies of others, and he particularly seems drawn to people with blue hair, like Gunko. Since Vivi shares this trait with Gunko and Lily – all of whom Imu seems interested in – it’s quite possible Imu could end up possessing Vivi as well.

Oda Has Foreshadowed Vivi’s Capture Already

It’s interesting because Oda seems to have hinted at Nefertari Vivi’s capture already. While Imu’s order to the Elders is a direct signal, I think the initial clue came from Igaram. He warned Vivi that she could be taken by a giant bird if she wandered off alone. Knowing that the ‘Itsumade’ is a giant bird in Japanese folklore, and that Mars possesses this power, it seems highly probable that Marcus Mars will eventually locate Morgans’ hideout and kidnap Vivi.

Vivi Vs Luffy Could Happen In The Final Arc Of One Piece

Many One Piece fans speculate that if Vivi were captured, she could become the story’s ultimate villain. The plot would likely involve Luffy and his crew attempting to rescue her after Imu possesses her, leading to a climactic battle where Luffy fights to free her from Imu’s control. This confrontation promises to be an epic and beloved fight. Interestingly, Luffy and Vivi have a history – they previously battled together in the desert during the Arabasta arc.

That earlier fight might hint at a bigger conflict to come. With Vivi likely to be captured by the World Government, all eyes are on Luffy to rescue her, and fans are eagerly anticipating it.
