This article contains spoilers from the JJK Modulo series.
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is getting more and more intense with each new chapter, and fans are really enjoying it. Even though the series is planned to be relatively short, as the author has stated, each chapter leaves readers wanting more. The latest developments in the conflict between humans and the Simurians have particularly captivated fans.
Things are really heating up between humans and the Simurians, and honestly, it feels like war is unavoidable now. The Kalyans being killed and Cross getting shot have created so much bad blood, and it’s all come down to this: a showdown between the best fighters on each side. Dabura, the Simurian’s strongest warrior, is going head-to-head with Yuka Okkotsu, who we humans consider our strongest at the moment. And get this – I have a feeling this fight is where we’ll finally see Yuka’s true cursed technique unleashed! There’s a lot of buzz that it could even be the return of the Ten Shadows Technique from the original Jujutsu Kaisen manga – I’m so hyped to find out!
Yuka Okkotsu Might Have Inherited The Ten Shadows Technique
As a huge Jujutsu Kaisen fan, I’m still blown away by the Ten Shadows technique! It’s seriously one of the most incredible cursed techniques we’ve ever seen. Basically, it lets you summon these awesome spirit creatures called Shikigami, and each one has its own special abilities in a fight. Megumi was already a fantastic user, skillfully using different Shikigami, but honestly, Sukuna’s performance with it during the Shinjuku arc was on a whole other level – it was mind-blowing to watch!
Sukuna was able to use the abilities of many different Shikigami on his own, and he could combine them to become even more powerful and overwhelm his opponents. These Shikigami also gave him access to reversed cursed techniques, making him a formidable enemy.
However, Mahoraga was by far the greatest asset. The Ten Shadows technique is incredibly powerful – Gojo even said it rivals his own Limitless ability.
Yuka Okkotsu Carries Zenin Blood Through Maki
I’m so excited about the latest developments in Jujutsu Kaisen! It looks like Yuka Okkotsu, Yuta and Maki’s granddaughter, is the only one currently able to use this incredible power. Because she’s related to the Zenin family through her grandmother, even though she didn’t naturally have cursed energy, I fully expect she’ll be able to master this technique soon!
Tsurugi could have potentially used this technique, but like Maki, he doesn’t have much cursed energy. This prevents him from being able to actually perform cursed techniques.
It happened a long time ago, probably during the Edo or Keicho period – honestly, I can’t remember exactly. But the heads of both families fought each other, right in front of everyone. Back then, the Gojo family was led by someone with the Six Eyes, like me, and the Zenin family by a user of the Ten Shadows Technique, similar to you, Megumi. Do you understand what I mean?
Yuka Okkotsu Has Animal Based Techniques
The strongest evidence that Yuka possesses the Ten Shadows Technique is her consistent use of attacks based on animals. While we’ve seen her fighting style, her cursed technique’s official name remains unknown. All her techniques, like Biting Claw Fists, center around animals, and this could work similarly to Sukuna – using the power of various spirits without needing to summon them.
Yuka With Ten Shadows And Rika Would Be Unstoppable
It looks like Gege is planning to reveal Yuka’s full power – her 10 Shadows – during the fight with Dabura in the next few chapters of JJK Modulo. If this happens, Yuka might then be able to summon Mahoraga to help her. Having Mahoraga on her side would give Yuka a real chance against Dabura, as she could potentially adapt to his abilities completely.
I’ve learned that Earthling Sorcerers have this ultimate move they only use when they’re facing certain death – it’s called a Binding Vow. Apparently, Yuka Okkotsu has been looking for something truly meaningful to risk her life for, and she figured if she was going to die anyway, she might as well do it for the sake of someone else. That’s what Tsurugi told me about her.
If Tsurugi gave Yuka the ring, she would not only gain access to Rika’s power, but combining that with her own would make her a remarkably strong sorcerer.
Furthermore, she’s made a powerful vow that significantly increases her strength, and she’s expected to eventually become humanity’s most powerful sorcerer, shocking everyone during her battle with Dabura.
The sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen, titled Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, is currently being published in Weekly Shonen Jump. Set 68 years after the Shinjuku Showdown, the story follows Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, the grandchildren of Yuta and Maki. Chapter 15 is scheduled to come out on December 14, 2025, at midnight in Japan (11:00 AM Eastern Time, 8:00 AM Pacific Time). Readers can access the chapter for free on Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump app.
