It’s Time To Welcome The Next Madara Uchiha Of The Naruto Franchise

This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

The Boruto series is becoming increasingly captivating, and the creators, Kishimoto and Ikemoto, are now introducing some fascinating new characters. Although the early part of Boruto was enjoyable, it didn’t feature a villain as powerful or memorable as Madara Uchiha.

The latest arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex appears to have delivered a truly engaging villain: Jura. From his introduction, Jura has demonstrated incredible power, rivaling many of the strongest characters. What sets him apart, however, is his intriguing backstory, which makes him a compelling character to watch—some fans even speculate he could become as significant a threat as Madara was.

Jura Is The Next Madara Uchiha Of The Boruto Series

From the start of the Naruto series, the creator, Kishimoto, wanted a truly impactful villain to drive the main storyline, which led to the development of Madara Uchiha. Madara remained a central figure throughout much of the series, particularly from the timeskip onward, all the way to the very end.

Jura believes love is a tricky thing for humans. While it might seem like a weakness – a consequence of being so intelligent – it surprisingly gives you strength. He shared this thought with Boruto Uzumaki in Two Blue Vortex.

The Boruto series hadn’t featured a villain on par with Madara until now. In Two Blue Vortex, Jura has been revealed as the primary threat, and he’s an incredibly powerful being – essentially the Ten-Tails manifested as a person.

Light always comes with darkness, and success always creates those who fail. The pursuit of peace, when driven by self-interest, often leads to conflict. And it’s through hatred that we can truly understand and appreciate love. – Madara Uchiha, Naruto

I’ve always been fascinated by the Shinju! Basically, they came to be when the Ten-Tails gained consciousness thanks to Code. Most of them formed because the Claw Grimes absorbed people, and their chakra somehow created these beings. But Jura? He’s totally unique! He didn’t come from human chakra at all, which is just mind-blowing to me.

Jura is essentially the human form of the 10 Tails, which is what sets him apart. This makes him incredibly powerful, almost like a god, and very few can compare. Fans are eager to see how his story develops and what he’ll do next.

Jura Is Stronger Than Madara Uchiha

Jura is easily the most fascinating villain Boruto has presented so far, and fans are impressed by more than just his mysterious background. He’s incredibly powerful – very few characters even come close to matching his strength. In fact, he’s already surpassed even legendary figures like Madara Uchiha from the original Naruto series.

I’ve always believed that to truly control someone, you have to tap into their deepest fears and insecurities. If those aren’t readily apparent, I found it was often necessary to make them exist. That’s just how it works, in my experience. – Madara Uchiha

Jura is incredibly powerful, to the point where he’s considered nearly unbeatable. Chapter 28 of Boruto: Blue Vortex explicitly states his chances of being killed are almost nonexistent. The fact that even two individuals with the powerful Karma ability couldn’t defeat him demonstrates that he’s significantly stronger than Madara in terms of sheer power.

Jura Is The Most Exciting Boruto Villains So Far

Jura is easily the most compelling villain in Boruto so far. Kishimoto has crafted a fascinating character with a backstory deeply connected to the history of the Naruto universe, specifically through his connection to the Ten Tails.

This is what makes him capable of becoming a villain on par with Madara Uchiha, which is something fans really value. His incredible power only adds to this, and it’s something fans definitely notice.

As a typical action-packed Shonen series, power is a key element in Boruto. Jura’s impressive strength not only makes him a fascinating character, but also suggests he could become a truly memorable villain that fans will be talking about for a long time.

Now, Kishimoto just needs to develop the character of Jura well. If Jura’s motivations and story are as compelling as Madara’s, he has the potential to become one of the franchise’s greatest villains and remain a popular figure for a long time. Hopefully, Kishimoto can meet those expectations.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is the continuation of the Boruto story, created by Mikio Ikemoto and overseen by Masashi Kishimoto. Picking up three years after the events of the Omnipotence arc, the series focuses on Boruto Uzumaki’s efforts to protect the world and his complex relationship with his brother, Kawaki. Chapter 29 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will be released on December 18, 2025, at 10 AM EST / 3 PM UTC. Fans can read it for free on the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
