It’s Time To Welcome Zoro’s Next Powerful Sword In One Piece

This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s manga.

Roronoa Zoro is a hugely popular and incredibly powerful character in One Piece, especially known for his thrilling battles. As the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, he’s famous for his unique three-sword fighting style. Over the course of the series, fans have watched Zoro grow from a relatively unknown fighter into one of the strongest warriors in the world.

Despite his already impressive strength, Zoro still has room to grow, and he needs better swords to reach his full potential. Throughout the story, he’s consistently gotten stronger weapons, and it looks like he’s due for another upgrade. It appears Zoro’s next sword will be Nidai Kitetsu, a famously powerful blade.

Zoro’s Next Sword Is Coming, And It Will Be Nidai Kitetsu

    Zoro Will Replace Hie Kitetsu

  • His Other Two Swords Are Irreplaceable

Fans have noticed a clear pattern with Zoro’s swords: he usually only gets new ones when a current sword is broken beyond repair or lost. He also holds onto certain blades that are particularly meaningful to him and wouldn’t replace them.

This sword, it’s cursed, isn’t it? It must be the Kitetsu blade! — Roronoa Zoro, One Piece

Zoro deeply cherishes Wado Ichimonji, Kuina’s sword, and refuses to part with it. It’s an irreplaceable reminder of her, and he intends to keep it with him until he achieves his dream of becoming the world’s best swordsman.

Enma is currently Zoro’s most crucial sword after Wado Ichimonji. He recently obtained it in Wano and is working to master its power by fully unlocking its potential.

Zoro won’t be able to achieve that ability for a long time, as it would take numerous difficult, high-stakes battles to darken his blade. Because of this, and the effort required, it’s unlikely Zoro will ever need to replace his current sword in One Piece.

Zoro can only replace Sandai Kitetsu if it’s lost or broken. He’s become highly skilled with this sword over time and cares for it deeply. However, it’s important to remember that Sandai Kitetsu isn’t as powerful as his other two main swords.

Enma and Wado Ichimonji are among the twelve highest-quality swords, known as the Great Grade Swords. Sandai Kitetsu, however, is a lower-ranked sword and requires improvement to reach its full potential.

Zoro Vs Nusjuro Will Be A Clash Of Kitetsu Blades

It’s important to remember that Zoro needs to keep his Kitetsu sword. This idea was set up by the author during the Egghead Arc when Zoro fought Nusjuro, who wielded the original Kitetsu, while Zoro uses a later version called the Sandai Kitetsu.

Therefore, when Zoro and this character inevitably fight, he needs to be armed with a Kitetsu sword. Since he’ll need to improve his current Kitetsu and still have one for the fight, obtaining the Nidai Kitetsu is the only logical solution.

Zoro Could Turn All Three Swords Into Supreme Grade

Nidai Kitetsu is currently located in Wano Country. Fans briefly saw it during the Wano arc, and Zoro showed a strong interest in the blade. It was created by Kotetsu, who is the ancestor of Tenguyama Hitetsu – also known as Kozuki Sukiyaki. This sword is exceptionally strong, ranking it among the top 21 Great Grade Swords, just like Enma.

If Zoro obtains it, all of his swords will reach the same power level, potentially allowing him to maximize their strength. The Wano arc of One Piece also showed that swords can become more powerful when coated in a black substance.

If Zoro manages to coat all three of his swords with black Haki – something that’s likely to happen in the One Piece story – then all of his swords will reach the highest quality level, known as Supreme Grade. This would increase the total number of Supreme Grade swords from thirteen to sixteen.

Zoro Will Become The Strongest Swordsman In The Final Saga Of One Piece

It won’t be simple for Zoro to become the world’s strongest swordsman. But considering he potentially has access to three incredibly powerful swords, it’s easier to see how he could achieve that goal.

Mihawk is incredibly skilled and possesses a formidable sword. But if Zoro obtains three of the world’s greatest swords, he would be able to defeat even Mihawk. This would allow Zoro to achieve his lifelong ambition and honor the memory of Kuina.
