Jianxin Team Comp In WuWa – Wuthering Waves

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that I’ve seen characters rise and fall in the world of gaming, much like the tides of the sea (a nod to the beautiful Wuthering Waves game art). Jianxin is one such character who has had a rollercoaster journey in the meta.

Initially, she was a bit of an enigma, not quite fitting into any clear role, making her seem mediocre at best. But as I, and many other players, discovered her true potential as a support unit, she began to shine brighter than the stars above. However, with the introduction of new Resonators, Jianxin found herself once again in the shadows.

Yet, her Outro Skill’s incredible Resonance Liberation damage bonus is a beacon that keeps her from being completely overshadowed. It’s like having a secret weapon up your sleeve when you need it most.

I’ve found success with three different Jianxin team compositions in Wuthering Waves. The first is the Standard Banner Resonators trio of Jianxin, Calcharo, and Verina. Jianxin serves as a Sub-DPS here, maximizing Calcharo’s Resonance Liberation damage. It’s important to remember not to use her as a shielder in this team, as Verina has that covered.

Another effective combination is Jianxin, Xiangli Yao, and Yinlin. In this setup, Jianxin acts as the team’s support, offering sustainability with her shield and healing abilities. Xiangli Yao relies on his Resonance Liberation for damage, making Jianxin’s buff a valuable asset. Yinlin, with her Ultimate that works best when hitting multiple enemies at once, benefits from Jianxin pulling them together.

Lastly, for those of us who prefer to build an F2P team, I’ve had success with Havoc Rover, Baizhi, and Jianxin. In this setup, Havoc Rover depends on his Resonance Liberation for damage, buffed by Jianxin’s Outro Skill. Baizhi acts as the healer, increasing everyone’s damage output through her kit and Rejuvenating Glow’s Echo set.

While these teams might not deal as much damage as those heavy on 5-star units, they can still clear endgame content. As they say in the world of gaming, it’s not about how hard you hit; it’s about where you don’t get hit. And with Jianxin’s versatility and resilience, I’ve found that she helps keep me out of trouble more often than not!

Oh, and one more thing: If you ever find yourself struggling to make Jianxin shine, just remember the old saying – “The sun always rises after the night.” Good luck, fellow gamers!

In games such as “Wuthering Waves,” where fresh characters are introduced at regular intervals, it’s common to see units fluctuate in their effectiveness, or meta position. To illustrate, consider the character Jianxin. Initially, she was underestimated and ranked poorly, but as players began to grasp her potential as a support unit, her standing improved significantly on the tier list. However, over time, she was eventually overshadowed by the latest Resonator characters that captured players’ attention.

Being a character with no specialties can make you less exceptional compared to others, as players often seek out characters that excel in specific areas for their teams. However, Jianxin’s exceptional Outro Skill and remarkable Resonance Liberation damage bonus sometimes work in her favor. Here are some effective team compositions featuring Jianxin within WuWa.

Jianxin + Calcharo + Verina

The trio of Jianxin, Calcharo, and Verina is among the initial groups in “Wuthering Waves”, comprised entirely of Standard Banner Resonators. Calcharo, a strong 5-star character, inflicts considerable damage when backed by his team. Given that Calcharo heavily leverages his Resonance Liberation, Jianxin is included to amplify the damage output in this aspect.

In the current setup of the team, it would be better if Jianxin doesn’t function as a shielder because Verina provides more than enough protection for the team’s well-being. Instead, she should play the role of a Sub-Damage Dealer. To maximize her potential in this role, make sure to enhance her gear to inflict damage with her Resonance Liberation and heavy attacks.

Team Role

  • Jianxin: Sub-DPS, buffer
  • Calcharo: Main DPS
  • Verina: Support, buffer, healer

Jianxin + Xiangli Yao + Yinlin

In the Jianxin group, Xiangli Yao typically functions as both a support, providing her teammates with durability via her shield and minor healing, and a potent Damage Per Second (DPS) character who predominantly uses his Resonance Liberation ability to inflict damage. Importantly, receiving Jianxin’s Resonance Liberation boost is significant for Xiangli Yao.

Conversely, Yinlin possesses a high damage potential through her ultimate ability, providing Electro damage and a Resonance Liberation boost. She excels when attacking clusters of enemies, making it beneficial to have Jianxin on the team to gather foes together as he enhances her ultimate. In summary, this team is adaptable, allowing each character to interchangeably enter and exit while bolstering one another’s abilities.

Team Role

  • Jianxin: Support, buffer, shielder, healer
  • Xiangli Yao: Main DPS
  • Yinlin: Sub-DPS, buffer

Jianxin + Havoc Rover + Baizhi

Given that many players already have several characters from the Standard Banner in Wuthering Waves, it’s only reasonable to construct a free-to-play team centered around Jianxin. In this setup, Havoc Rover will primarily rely on their Resonance Liberation for dealing damage, with the additional boost provided by Jianxin’s Outro Skill. With both Jianxin and Havoc Rover taking turns to dish out damage, a healer is still essential. For that role, Baizhi, a capable 4-star free-to-play support who can buff and heal allies, would be a suitable choice.

The team’s sequence begins by introducing Baizhi, whose abilities amplify the overall damage. This is further enhanced by Rejuvenating Glow’s Echo armor set that she wears. Following her, it’s Jianxin’s turn, contributing to the damage output while accumulating Concerto Energy. In the end, Havoc Rover enters the fray with the support of both Baizhi and Jianxin, benefiting from their buffs.

Compared to other teams in the game Wuthering Waves that heavily feature 5-star characters, this team doesn’t dish out as much damage. Yet, when Jianxin functions as a Sub-Damage Dealer, it can still tackle some challenging endgame material.

Team Role

  • Jianxin: Sub-DPS, buffer
  • Havoc Rover: Main DPS
  • Baizhi: Support, buffer, healer
