At long last, Solo Leveling Season 2 delivers the eagerly anticipated battle between Jinwoo and the Ant King. This anthropomorphic Ant had claimed the lives of numerous high-ranking S-Rank Hunters, but luckily for our cherished characters, Jinwoo employed Shadow Exchange to teleport to the island in time.

Without a doubt, the battle was intense, and Jinwoo pushed himself to the limit in order to overcome this formidable foe. For the majority of the fight, he held the advantage against the Ant King, exerting his maximum power. However, for just a fleeting instant, the Ant King managed to get the better of Jinwoo, leaving spectators on edge. It was during this tense moment that the hunter astounded fans by unleashing one of his most powerful abilities: Mutilation.

From the start, Jinwoo had no difficulties battling the Ant King. The Humanoid Ant employed all his skills against Jinwoo, even using poison to immobilize him. Thankfully, the System enabled Jinwoo to counteract the poison and ward off the Ant King’s impending attack. However, there was a point in the fight where the Ant King almost penetrated Jinwoo’s eye. At that critical moment, Jinwoo activated his Mutilation skill, not only escaping danger but also inflicting severe damage on the adversary. But what makes this Mutilation skill so formidable that it left an opponent like the Ant King in awe?

It seems that Jinwoo’s Mutilation skill is designed to precisely strike an opponent’s weak spots using his dagger. This enhanced version of Jinwoo’s Critical Strike skill costs 70 Mana and can only be employed with a dagger. While the Critical Strike skill enables Jinwoo to make ordinary attacks, the Mutilation ability, when successfully landed, has the power to dismantle an enemy by inflicting a series of lethal blows on their vital areas.

Improved Efficiency in Attacks: Now, you can effectively target crucial areas of opponents for significant damage – Precise Strike Mastery.

In a swift move to catch the Ant King off guard, Jinwoo enhanced his Critical Strike into a devastating Mutilation, unleashing a flurry of deadly slashes with his dagger. The Ant King was caught unaware and promptly lost an arm. This powerful ability, one of Jinwoo’s most effective and valuable tools, significantly eased his battle against the Ant King.

Besides enhancing Critical Strike to its deadliest form, Mutilation, Jinwoo pushes it to the ultimate level. This implies that each strike from Jinwoo’s dagger causes significant damage to the Ant King’s crucial areas. The relentless assault is so agonizing for the Ant King that he attempts to flee, but unfortunately, he can’t. Jinwoo swiftly follows the Ant King, draws his daggers, and finally defeats the enemy using his Mutilation (Max Level) ability.

The Ant King’s Regeneration Ability Didn’t Prove Useful Against Jinwoo

The Only Option Left For him Was To Run

As an avid fan, I can’t help but marvel at the unique regenerative powers that the Ant King gained after consuming a Hunter’s head! While this skill might have proven useful against other combatants, it was merely a novelty when faced with Jinwoo. Granted, the Ant King managed to regrow his severed arm following the slashes from Jinwoo’s blades, but let me tell you, Jinwoo’s Mutilation Skill wasn’t a one-off trick! As long as he had those daggers in hand, he could have repeatedly utilized this ability.

Each time the Ant King regrew its limbs, Jinwoo exploited the wounds inflicted by his Mutilation skill to slice through the enemy’s form. The Ant King was simply unable to withstand Jinwoo’s relentless assaults, and no matter how many times it regenerated, it couldn’t retaliate against Jinwoo. The monster repeatedly attempted to locate the Queen’s nest following each regeneration, but failed every single time. Eventually, the Ant King was left with no alternative but to meet its demise at the hands of Jinwoo.

Although the Ant King danger has passed, there’s still one more task for Jinwoo: rescuing Cha Hae-In, the Dancer, from an impending demise. So far, all healing items have failed in saving Cha Hae-In, but Jinwoo is determined to find a solution and save the renowned S-Rank Hunter.
