JKap Leaving LAT After Almost Four Years as Coach

As a long-time fan who’s witnessed JKap‘s incredible journey through the Call of Duty landscape, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions seeing him part ways with the LA Thieves. The man has been an integral part of the team’s successes, and his contributions to the 100 Thieves-backed brand are undeniable. From his days as a pro player to his tenure as a coach, he’s left an indelible mark on Call of Duty esports.

Today, Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan announced his departure from LA Thieves in the CDL after nearly four years serving as their coach. With the team backed by 100 Thieves, JKap achieved two championship titles and a ring. His most recent triumph was the 2022 CDL Championship, where he led an impressive victory over FaZe Clan during the Vanguard season.

As a dedicated gamer myself, I’m moving coasts – heading eastbound! That’s right, it’s yours truly, JKap – one of the most successful Call of Duty players in history. I just dropped a video update on my social media platforms, sharing this exciting news with all my fans and fellow gamers. Can’t wait to see what the East Coast gaming scene has in store for me!

He stressed that this was a mutual split and that he’s parting ways with the LA Thieves on amicable terms. In his video, JKap explained that he wanted to find a way to work remotely with the team, but 100 Thieves insisted that they wanted on-site employees.

In his video, Kaplan explained:

As a devoted fan, I’ve found myself in uncharted territory – I’m embracing the unknown, ready to seize any opportunities that come my way. It’s a leap of faith, undeniably nerve-wracking, but I’m compelled to make this change because Call of Duty has been my world for over a decade. From pro player to coach in the last four years, I can honestly say Call of Duty is not just a game; it’s been my life.

In a surprising turn during his final address, he hinted at increased liberty in expressing his views, which might lead to more forthright opinions about the Call of Duty esports world. Given this, it’s advisable to monitor JKap’s social media platforms closely for intriguing details related to Call of Duty.
