Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a hugely popular anime series. While the first five parts were very successful, the release schedule on Netflix has caused problems for the show, particularly with Part 7: Steel Ball Run, which has faced delays.
Netflix has announced the return date for Steel Ball Run after a significant delay. Although only one episode has been released so far, Netflix says the series will be back in Fall 2026. This news has upset many fans who were hoping for a quicker release.
Netflix Confirms Part 7 Second Stage Is Coming In Fall 2026
I remember when Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7 was announced for 2025 – it was huge news! Many fans, myself included, think it’s the best part of the whole series, so expectations were incredibly high. The first episode, Steel Ball Run, finally arrived on March 19, 2026, but the release schedule after that became really unclear. We were all constantly checking for updates, wondering what Netflix had planned, especially with no date for the second episode. Well, we finally got an update, and it wasn’t good. Netflix has confirmed that the second part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7 won’t be released until Fall 2026. That’s a real disappointment, because most of us were hoping to see it by Summer 2026 at the latest. It means a much longer wait for more Jojo!
Viewers are understandably frustrated that Netflix released only one episode and then made them wait more than six months for the next. Netflix says this release strategy was requested by the production team at David Production. However, many fans would have preferred the whole season be delayed rather than have such an uneven release schedule.
I’m so thrilled to share some exciting news about the Steel Ball Run anime! Production is officially underway, and it’s going to be amazing! We’re planning a split-cour release to really give this incredible story the attention it deserves. The second part, or ‘cour,’ will start streaming on Netflix in Fall 2026, with a brand new episode dropping every week. This isn’t a change of plans, it’s how we always envisioned it, and it’s what everyone working on the show wants to deliver for fans!
We’re so grateful for your excitement and support as we finish up work on Season 2! Your patience means the world to the entire team. — Netflix Anime
The Streaming Giant Confirms Part 7’s Second Stage Will Stream Weekly
Netflix has announced that JoJo will be back this fall! In an update on X (formerly Twitter), @NetflixAnime also shared that the second part of the series will be released a little differently – episodes will be rolled out weekly. This means fans can enjoy new JoJo content over several weeks. While Netflix hasn’t said exactly how many episodes the second part will have, they’ve confirmed it will be significantly longer than the first. Fans of Steel Ball Run can look forward to a much more extensive release this time around.
Assessing The Future of Steel Ball Run Following The New Update
Netflix has clarified its release plan for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run. Instead of releasing episodes all at once, they’ll be divided into smaller batches, referred to as ‘stages.’ Currently, it appears only one or two of these stages will be released each year. Considering Steel Ball Run has nine stages total, this means the series could be spread out over three to four years, which is a surprisingly long timeframe. While some fans find the situation amusing, most anime viewers prefer weekly episodes or full seasons, even if it means waiting longer for new content. The inconsistent batch releases are therefore disappointing for many JoJo fans.
The second stage of Steel Ball Run is currently planned to launch in Fall 2027, though Netflix hasn’t announced a specific date. After releasing a few episodes from Stage 2, the series will pause again while Netflix and David Production create the next set of episodes for Stage 3. Based on the current schedule, fans can expect another wait of at least six months, and possibly longer.
