JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: 7 Strongest Evolved Stands, Ranked

Stands, the power system featured in anime like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, are truly special. Instead of simply giving characters strength, Stands manifest as extensions of themselves, each with distinct abilities. Defeating an opponent usually requires clever tactics and strategy, rather than just overwhelming power.

Initially, the series featured Hamon as the primary power source in the first two parts. However, the introduction of Stands in part 3 completely changed things. While many amazing Stands have appeared since then, only a few have actually ‘evolved’ – developing new abilities and becoming even more powerful. Here’s a rundown of the strongest Evolved Stands in the series.

Killer Queen

Yoshikage Kira is often considered one of the most disturbing villains in anime. Even in a show filled with powerful and dangerous characters – from immortals to gangsters and corrupt politicians – Kira is remarkably cruel and mentally unstable. While his Stand, Killer Queen, isn’t the most visually powerful, it’s incredibly dangerous and can defeat even the strongest opponents if they aren’t careful.

Killer Queen’s ability to turn objects into bombs is already powerful, but it evolves throughout the series. It eventually develops a secondary ability called Sheer Heart Attack, which acts like a self-guided bomb, automatically seeking out and destroying the nearest warm-blooded target. Later, after being struck by the Arrow a second time, Kira gains Bites the Dust – his most devastating ability. He can attach a miniature version of Bites the Dust to anyone, and it will detonate, creating a time loop that resets everything to one hour before the explosion. However, Bites the Dust operates independently, meaning Kira doesn’t know who it will kill or if the time loop even worked. Only the person caught in the explosion remembers the loop, which could put Kira at a disadvantage.

Star Platinum: The World

Throughout much of Stardust Crusaders, Jotaro’s Stand, Star Platinum, is a powerful and reliable ability. It’s fundamentally about incredible strength and speed, and Jotaro usually defeats opponents by overpowering them once he figures out how to counter their Stand’s specific powers.

This Stand truly becomes one of the most powerful in the series when it gains the ability to stop time, mirroring DIO’s own power. At its strongest, Star Platinum: The World could freeze time for up to five seconds, allowing Jotaro to inflict significant damage. While straightforward, this ability has consistently proven to be incredibly effective throughout the series.

Soft & Wet: Go Beyond

Okay, so some Stands in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure can be really tricky to wrap your head around, and Soft & Wet is a prime example! Basically, it creates these floating bubbles – but they’re not just bubbles, they’re actually these spinning, thread-like things. And get this, they can do a ton of stuff! They can lift objects, but what it’s really known for is taking things from people. Like, it can steal someone’s vision or even silence a sound completely, preventing it from ever being heard again! It’s a super unique and kinda creepy ability.

Josuke Higashikata’s Stand is incredibly inventive, and unlocks even greater power with the ability ‘Go Beyond’. This technique generates fast-moving, unstable bubbles that combine the principles of ‘Spin’ with explosive force. Because of their immense speed, these bubbles essentially exist outside of normal space, letting them bypass defenses, inflict significant damage, and rapidly break down whatever they hit.

C-MOON

I’ve been studying Pucci’s Stands in Stone Ocean, and C-MOON is particularly fascinating. It’s essentially what happened after Whitesnake evolved – it was crucial for carrying out DIO’s plan. What’s really wild is that it’s a combination of Pucci himself and this ‘Green Baby’ formed from DIO’s bone, and it contains the remnants of almost 40 different souls.

C-MOON’s main power is controlling gravity. It creates a field around Pucci that repels objects, pushing them away from him. It can also reverse the gravity of anything it touches, which can be incredibly dangerous. Additionally, C-MOON has limited time-speeding capabilities that would significantly increase with Pucci’s evolution to his next Stand.

Made in Heaven

Made in Heaven, the final Stand of Pucci, is incredibly powerful – arguably the most dangerous in the entire series. Even DIO believed it was the ultimate Stand, and its abilities make it nearly unbeatable.

Made in Heaven has the power to manipulate time by altering the gravity between the Earth and Moon, effectively speeding it up. This grants its user, Pucci, immense speed and makes it so others can’t even perceive what’s happening, leading to devastating consequences. Its most significant ability is to reset the entire universe, making it one of the most powerful Stands in the series – a challenge almost no other Stand user could face head-on.

D4C Love Train

We might have to wait a bit longer for more of the Steel Ball Run anime, but it will be worth it when Funny Valentine finally appears. Valentine is considered one of the greatest JoJo villains – possibly the best – and is known for being incredibly clever and dangerous.

I’m absolutely fascinated by Valentine’s Stand, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap! It’s incredible – he can actually pull people from alternate realities into our own. The really wild part? If you meet your double from another universe, both of you are wiped out! But D4C doesn’t stop there. It evolves into D4C Love Train, and that’s where things get really crazy. It creates this shimmering wall of light around Valentine, and it’s basically an impenetrable defense. Anything that would hurt him? It redirects it, and someone else ends up taking the damage – even something tiny can become instantly fatal for an innocent bystander. It’s a truly terrifying and almost flawless shield.

Tusk

Tusk is the Stand of main character Johnny Joestar in Steel Ball Run. While it doesn’t seem particularly powerful initially, it grows to become one of the strongest Stands in the series, unlocking new abilities through four different ‘Acts’.

Throughout the series, Johnny gains new abilities by mastering the Spin. First, he learns to fire nails with incredible force and use their spin for movement. Then, he significantly increases his attack power using a technique called the Golden Rectangle, which even allows missed shots to home in on enemies. Next, he can create wormholes with the Spin, letting him quickly move around the battlefield and reposition parts of his body for both offense and defense. Finally, he evolves the Spin into the Golden Spin, giving his nail attacks limitless energy and causing targets to be endlessly spun and pulled back to their point of impact. This final ability is especially effective against dimensional barriers, making it a powerful counter to D4C Love Train.

Gold Experience Requiem

I’m a huge fan of Gold Experience – the power to give life to anything is just mind-blowing and makes it so adaptable! But honestly, when it evolves into Gold Experience Requiem? That’s when things get really crazy. It’s easily the most powerful Stand we’ve seen in the whole series, hands down.

Gold Experience Requiem (GER) not only maintains its healing powers, but Giorno can now use them in even more impressive ways. What truly makes GER unique, though, is its ability to completely negate any harm directed towards it. It essentially undoes any attack, providing an unbeatable defense. Those defeated by GER don’t simply die; instead, they’re caught in a never-ending cycle of death, where their demise is constantly reversed, forcing them to relive countless fatal scenarios.
