As a dedicated fan of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, I find the theory that Star Platinum is actually Jonathan Joestar’s reincarnated power to be both intriguing and thought-provoking. The idea that the strongest Stand in the series could be a manifestation of the unyielding will and protective instinct of a beloved character like Jonathan adds depth to their story and the overarching themes of justice, love, and the transcendence of time.

In the world of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure,” Star Platinum, wielded by Jotaro Kujo, is the most renowned and powerful Stand. Known for its blazing speed, immense strength, and time-stopping capabilities, Star Platinum makes Jotaro a formidable force. However, an intriguing fan theory has gained popularity among “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” enthusiasts. According to this theory, Star Platinum is not just a Stand; it is the manifestation of Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro’s great-grandfather, providing him protection from beyond the grave.

Based on my extensive knowledge of both JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and spiritual beliefs surrounding reincarnation, I find the theory that Jonathan Joestar could have reincarnated as Jotaro Kujo to be intriguing, albeit far-fetched.

Jonathan Joestar’s Transcendent Will

An Eternal Protector

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Is Star Platinum Jonathan Joestar Reincarnated?

Jonathan Joestar was the son of George Joestar and took Dio Brando under his wing as a foster brother. Later on, Dio acquired the power of a vampire through the Stone Mask. In response, Jonathan learned Hamon, a martial art imbued with sunlight, from Will Zeppeli. Utilizing this enchanted fighting style, Jonathan vanquished Dio and his horde of undead soldiers. Yet, Dio was not defeated for long; he returned, aided by his minions. Ultimately, Dio took Jonathan’s life, leaving him in his arms as they embraced, displaying a bond contrasting the pure evil that defined Dio.

It’s possible that we’re more connected than we realize… There’s an unusual bond forming between us. Our destinies are now intertwined, and when this vessel goes up in flames, so will we.

-Jonathan Joestar

Jonathan’s essence was deeply rooted in unending kindness and love. He stood out as a genuine hero and gentleman, a beacon of light and motivation in a dismal world. With an unwavering commitment to uphold justice and shield the innocent, Jonathan’s spirit extended beyond the confines of time and ancestry. Each descendant of the Joestar lineage carries this legacy forward, manifested through their unique expressions of doing good and combating evil in their own ways. Despite diverse personalities among the Joestars, they all remain true to their grandfather’s noble cause.

In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, the concept of time holds significant weight, and it seems only natural that Jonathan’s legacy continues, undeterred by the passage of time, to confront Dio relentlessly, embodying an indomitable force for justice.

Star Platinum, The Proud Warrior

Stand Proud Until the End of the World

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Is Star Platinum Jonathan Joestar Reincarnated?

Star Platinum is easily identified by its blue eyes, purple and blue skin, and wavy black hair. However, its abilities are most notably recognized when it shouts “Ora, Ora, Ora!” in use. Unlike many Stands with artificial and otherworldly appearances, Star Platinum possesses a more humanoid form, with a remarkably human-like face. There’s a sense of familiarity about it. While it shares some resemblance to its master Jotaro, it also bears a striking resemblance to Jonathan Joestar.

“I’m back from hell, Dio!”

-Jonathan Joestar

Upon closer inspection, Star Platinum and Jonathan exhibit numerous likenesses. Their designs include wide shoulder pads, combat gloves, golden accents, and similar gloves. Star Platinum inherits these features from Jonathan. Notably, Star Platinum is famous for its rapid succession of punches, a characteristic shared by many Power Type Stands. Ordinary humans are incapable of replicating this ability except in rare cases. However, there was one exceptional human who demonstrated an impressive volley of power before Stand abilities emerged: Jonathan’s Sunlight Yellow Overdrive. This technique, which Jonathan used to vanquish Bruford, predates the advent of Stands as the sole human wielding such force.

I teamed up with Jotaro, and together we took on Dio and his stand, The World. Our epic showdown reached its climax as we dealt the final blow, shattering The World in pieces. With Dio’s lifeline gone, his body disintegrated under the scorching sun, leaving no trace of him behind.

As a devoted fan, I’ve pondered over one intriguing detail that has left many viewers perplexed: the shared nature of Star Platinum and The World as Stands. These two formidable abilities, belonging to Jotaro Kujo and Dio Brando respectively, exhibit striking similarities in terms of speed, strength, and the power to halt time itself. But what’s the reason behind this uncanny resemblance?

Dio has usurped Jonathan’s physical form below the neck. At that time when Dio obtained The World by piercing himself with the Stand arrow, it was essentially Jonathan’s body being pierced instead. Consequently, The World encompasses a portion of Jonathan’s power. Shortly after this event, Star Platinum emerged in Jotaro as a defensive response to Dio’s escalating menace. All current Joestars reacted similarly because they are all linked to Jonathan spiritually.

Could Jonathan Joestar be the origin of Star Platinum, Jotaro’s famous Stand? Though definitive proof is lacking, this intriguing hypothesis invites exploration and offers a fresh perspective on Jotaro’s renowned spectral ally.
