  • Jotaro’s death in Part 6 sets in motion a new universe with a possible happy ending for his character.

It’s no secret among fans that the popular series, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, is notoriously brutal towards its characters. Suddenly, main characters whom viewers have grown fond of over weeks can meet their untimely end in a heartbeat, leaving both the audience and themselves stunned and saddened. This pattern often gives the impression that about half the chance of survival for a fresh protagonist or Jobro when a new part of JoJo’s begins.

Among JoJo’s series, Part 3: Stardust Crusaders stands out as particularly impactful when it comes to deaths. After following these characters on a lengthy global journey, the poignant demises of some fan-favorite Stardust Crusaders left many viewers emotionally shaken. Fortunately, some members of the Stardust Crusaders managed to survive, but their post-Egypt experiences may not have been as fortunate.

The Stardust Crusaders Are One Of The Most Recognizable Casts In JoJo’s

Sadly Most Of Them Perished Saving Holly

In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3, Joseph, who is Jotaro’s grandfather, organizes a team aimed at rescuing Jotaro’s mother from DIO. The team includes the main character Jotaro, Joseph from an earlier part of the story, Avdol the fortune-teller, Kakyoin the student, Polnareff the French swordsman seeking revenge, and later Iggy the rebellious dog. However, only Joseph, Jotaro, and Polnareff make it through their battles with DIO and Vanilla Ice at the end of this segment.

Your Stand isn’t visible to the victim or the law. Therefore, I shall judge you! – Jotaro

Despite Part 3 concluding, the Stardust Crusaders’ journey didn’t truly end there. After the trio separated and returned to their home countries, each survivor was assigned to monitor a particular region of the globe, staying alert for any potential Stand users with great power. Jotaro focused on Japan, while Polnareff and Joseph were tasked with watching over Europe and America respectively.

Joseph And Polnareff Ventured Home After Their Adventure

Both Suffered Fairly Negative Fates In Future JoJo’s Parts

  • Joseph Has Become Far Frailer And Older
  • Polnareff Faced Off Against Diavolo Himself

Initially, fans will get the chance to witness Joseph once more following Part 3 in Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable. It’s disclosed that Joseph is Josuke’s real father and he comes into play to help locate the user of Red Hot Chili Peppers, despite his advanced age making it questionable if he can be much aid. However, he appears to be struggling with the ailments of old age, which leads some to suspect he might not be genuine in these moments but rather pretending. Nevertheless, Joseph continues to live and thrive up until Part 6, apparently due to his brief involvement with Hamon.

Regarding Polnareff, prior to the storyline of “Golden Wind”, he had a close brush with death when he crossed paths with Diavolo during the Stardust Crusaders’ journey. Managing to live through that ordeal, Polnareff later joined forces with Giorno and their companions to put an end to Diavolo for good. In the process of this battle, however, Polnareff’s physical body perished, but his spirit became entwined within the Stand known as Coco Jumbo, Mr. President. From then on, Polnareff continued to exist in that spectral form, offering guidance to Giorno for the time ahead.

Jotaro Was An Important Part Of Two Future Parts

Ultimately He Died Fighting For His Daughter

Eventually, throughout Part 4 and Part 6 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Jotaro played a crucial role as a significant ally in both storylines. However, during Part 6, Pucci stole Jotaro’s Memory Discs, causing him to fall into a coma. This incident led Jolyne on her quest to defeat Pucci. By the series finale, with Jotaro revived, he employed his powerful Stand abilities to aid in fighting against Pucci, only to be fatally struck by Made In Heaven’s potent power. Yet, when the universe was reset due to the same ability, Irene – Jolyne’s counterpart in the new universe – declared that her father was alive, indicating that the Jotaro from this renewed world is likely safe and sound.

There’s one reason you lost, Dio. You pissed me off. – Jotaro

In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, it’s typical for conclusions to be as unconventional as the tales themselves. While the finales may not offer the joyous resolutions some fans anticipated, they certainly left an indelible impression on us, thanks to Joseph, Polnareff, and Jotaro’s actions beyond Part 3. Yet, the intrigue deepens among fans when pondering how their narratives might unfold if JoJo’s had persisted with the parallel universe introduced at the close of Part 6.
