This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are eagerly awaiting the start of “The Culling Game” in Season 3, expected in early 2026. This highly anticipated storyline will be a battle for survival featuring the strongest sorcerers from both past and present generations, and has generated a lot of excitement.
The challenging Culling Game is being controlled by Kenjaku, and fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are eagerly anticipating its adaptation in JJK Season 3 because it promises to be incredibly exciting and action-packed. Following the intense Shibuya Incident arc in the second season, Season 3 will escalate the conflict further, pitting the most powerful sorcerers against each other in the Culling Game.
Hajime Kashimo
Taking Down 40 Players Is a Breeze
Honestly, I’m completely fascinated by Hajime Kashimo! The guy lives for a good fight, but not just any fight – he needs someone who can really challenge him, someone on the level of Kinji Hakari, or even better, Ryomen Sukuna. He gets bored so easily, you know? Forget throwing weak opponents at him; you’ve got to give him a real powerhouse to keep him entertained. It’s all about the challenge for him!
Hajime quickly became famous throughout the colonies during the Culling Game, not only for eliminating 40 players from both previous and current rounds in just 12 days, but also for being the first to successfully change a rule within the game itself.
During the Culling Game, Kashimo easily defeated Panda, even when Panda transformed into his Gorilla and Triceratops forms. He also repeatedly almost defeated Kinji Hakari, and he did this without even using his special ability, showing just how incredibly strong Kashimo is.
Kinji Hakari
Powered by Luck and Driven by Feverish Passion
Kinji Hakari is incredibly powerful, and many believe he could become as strong as Gojo Satoru. Though he hasn’t appeared in the anime yet, he’s expected to be a major force in the Culling Game, using a combination of skill, luck, determination, and a unique domain expansion.
During the Culling Game, Hakari impressively defeated both Charles Bernard and the highly-regarded Hajime Kashimo, a famously powerful sorcerer from a previous generation. Hakari’s unique domain expansion, based on gambling, allowed him to repeatedly win big, giving him an endless supply of cursed energy. This dramatically boosted his strength, speed, and healing abilities, ultimately leading to his victory over Kashimo.
Yorozu
Sukuna’s Ultimate Fan Girl
I’ve noticed a pattern with many of the older sorcerers entering the Culling Game – a lot of them are specifically there to challenge Ryomen Sukuna. Yorozu is a prime example. Honestly, she’s completely obsessed with Sukuna – a dedicated fan, you could say. For years, she’s been fixated on the idea of showing him what love is and breaking through his isolation, and she’s still determined to do it.
During the Culling Game, Yorozu demonstrated incredible power, leading many Jujutsu Kaisen viewers to believe she could win against Yuji Itadori. This belief stemmed from her extensive combat experience and powerful domain expansion. She even proved her strength against Ryomen Sukuna, enduring his incredibly powerful Ten Shadows Technique and holding her ground against the King of Curses.
Hiromi Higuruma
The Courtroom Killer
I’ve noticed that Hiromi Higuruma is different from a lot of the other sorcerers we’ve seen. He’s not one of the ancient ones, but he really made a name for himself during the Culling Game. His abilities are really unusual – especially his domain expansion and that gavel he uses to change size. Yuji Itadori actually felt the effects of that gavel firsthand, and it was pretty incredible.
Hiromi Higuruma’s domain expansion traps Yuji in a courtroom-like space controlled by Judgeman. Judgeman doesn’t allow direct attacks, but forces Yuji to defend himself, and then issues a legal verdict. The punishments for losing can range from losing his cursed energy to even execution.
Hana Kurusu
The Symbiotic Sorcerer
Yuji and Megumi are trying to get help from someone called the Angel during the Culling Game. The Angel is their only chance to free Gojo Satoru, who is trapped in the Prison Realm. This is because the Angel has a unique ability that can cancel out or disable cursed techniques, barriers, seals, and even powerful cursed objects – including the Prison Realm itself.
Most people were unaware that Angel and Hana Kurusu have a unique connection – they work together as partners. This is different from other sorcerers who possess a vessel but refuse to cooperate with them. When Angel and Hana fight, they’re a powerful team, combining Angel’s ability to remove curses with Hana’s natural fighting skills. This allows them to take on even incredibly strong opponents, like Sukuna.
Ryu Ishigori
The Indomitable Sorcerer
Ryu Ishigori impressed many viewers of Jujutsu Kaisen during his battle with Yuta Okkotsu in the Culling Game. Yuta even acknowledged Ishigori’s incredibly powerful and devastating Granite Blast technique.
Ryu Ishigori is also known for having the greatest amount of cursed energy of anyone in the Culling Game. Yuta described fighting him as hitting a huge, unmovable object. Ryu is a remarkably resilient and powerful sorcerer; even Rika, when fully manifested, has trouble defeating him.
Fumihiko Takaba
Strength Born from Confidence
Fumihiko Takaba is a remarkably unusual and strong sorcerer in the Culling Game. While he doesn’t seem very imposing at first glance, he possesses an incredibly potent cursed technique and a unique fighting style. Some believe he even has the potential to become as powerful as Gojo Satoru.
Fumihiko Takaba’s power increases as his confidence grows. When he’s truly focused, his abilities are significantly boosted, making him a formidable opponent. Even Kenjaku, a master of Jujutsu, acknowledged that underestimating Takaba could render a thousand years of knowledge useless.
Uraume
Sukuna’s Ultimate Ally
Being near Sukuna, the incredibly powerful King of Curses, is intimidating, but Uraume usually stays calm and collected. They are fiercely loyal, and that loyalty is their greatest strength. As long as someone respects Sukuna, Uraume’s determination won’t waver, making them a formidable partner in the Culling Game.
Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are well aware of how strong Uraume is. Her ability to create ice can quickly freeze entire groups of sorcerers, and even powerful characters like Yuji Itadori and Maki Zenin have difficulty breaking free. In addition to this, Uraume’s healing abilities are exceptional, letting her instantly recover from injuries.
Yuta Okkotsu
The Undefeated Sorcerer
Yuta Okkotsu is a formidable force in the Culling Game, ready to defeat anyone he faces. He’s incredibly powerful – so much so that even Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro went out of their way to avoid fighting him, choosing a different area of the game instead.
Throughout most of the Culling Game, Yuta and Rika consistently dominated their opponents, easily winning against both experienced and newer fighters. Yuta notably defeated Dhruv Lakdawalla, as well as Takako Uro, Ryu Ishigori, and Kurourushi.
Kenjaku
The Architect of the Culling Game
Kenjaku has firmly established himself as one of the most powerful curse users in Jujutsu Kaisen. He’s responsible for two of the most devastating attacks in Japan’s history: not only did he manage to trap the incredibly powerful Gojo Satoru, but he also created the Culling Game, a brutal competition that forces people to fight for their lives.
Kenjaku is vastly more skilled in battle, intelligent, and knowledgeable about Jujutsu than nearly everyone participating in the Culling Game. Only a handful of the strongest players, like Yuta Okkotsu, Yuki Tsukumo, and Gojo Satoru, have a realistic chance of defeating him.
