The Merger Begins: Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 264 May Trigger the Final Part of the Shinjuku Showdown Arc
Recently, Jujutsu Kaisen resumed publication after a hiatus, bringing an escalation of tension to the confrontation between Yuta, who had taken control of Gojo’s body, and Sukuna. Chapter 263 marked significant progress in this battle, as it finally reached its conclusion. With Sukuna’s possible downfall on the horizon, fans are eagerly anticipating where the narrative will lead next.
Given Gege’s current health issues and the speculation that Jump may be coming to an end for his manga, this impending battle could conclude sooner than anticipated. Simultaneously, there is great anticipation among fans for the upcoming chapter 264 of JJK.
The Maximum Output Jacob’s Ladder Hits
Angel’s Jacob’s Ladder Could Mark Sukuna’s End
In chapter 264 of JJK, I’m positive that Angel will unleash her Maximum Output Jacob’s Ladder against Sukuna. This technique packs a significant punch and is certain to leave an indelible mark on the King of Curses. Towards the end of the last chapter, we saw a beam of light emanating from above Sukuna, which was none other than this formidable ability. Known for its blinding speed and expansive reach, there’s no escaping it once it’s been activated.

Yuta has unfortunately met his end on the battlefield, leaving the majority of the fighting to fall upon Yuji and Todo. However, they may not have to exert much effort due to Angel’s significant role in subduing Sukuna. In the last chapter, it became clear that Yuta intended for Angel to deliver the finishing blow to Sukuna. It was actually Todo who made this possible by extending the reach of his ability and trading a domain shard with Angel. This exchange enabled Angel to employ Maximum Output Jacob’s Ladder from an advantageous position above Sukuna.
This method can be thwarted, but it’s common knowledge among fans that Sukuna cannot employ his cursed technique at present due to insufficient energy. Consequently, Sukuna has essentially lost the fight and can no longer command Megumi’s body for extended periods. Meanwhile, the Dismantles extracted from Yuji have significantly weakened him, making the forthcoming chapter all the more intriguing.
Sukuna’s Defeat
Sukuna Might Finally Fall In JJK 264, But The Battle Isn’t Over
I’ve shared before how fans may get to witness Sukuna’s defeat in JJK chapter 264. Despite facing numerous powerful sorcerers, he’s put up an incredible fight and endured longer than most. His performances have been nothing less than remarkable, even when the odds were stacked against him. Yet, it’s important to acknowledge that the circumstances often favored him in ways that made his victory seem almost predestined.

After finishing the task at hand, Angel causes Sukuna to kneel down. Previously, Sukuna raised some of his fingers only to retract them; in the next chapter, there’s a strong possibility that he will do so once more. Megumi may take part in the narrative for the first time in a while in the upcoming chapter, and readers are eagerly anticipating his return to the story.
As a devoted fan of JJK, I’d like to remind everyone that Megumi’s significance should not be underestimated. Although it may seem otherwise to some, he could potentially contribute greatly to the events unfolding in the Final Arc.
Fans may wonder how Megumi could contribute to the battle if Sukuna is set to be defeated in the upcoming JJK chapters. The solution to this question can be traced back to a significant plot point introduced by Gege in the story earlier on. This plot point is known as Kenjaku’s Insurance. Prior to his demise, Kenjaku transferred the insurance to Sukuna. Presently, Sukuna holds the power to initiate the merger through this insurance. There’s a strong possibility that the merger will be activated in JJK chapter 264, leading us into the climax of the Shinjuku Showdown arc.
The Merger Begins
The Merger Could Finally Begin In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 264
In “JJK” chapter 264, the emphasis lies on Sukuna’s imminent downfall. His loss is impending and unavoidable; however, this does not signify the conclusion of the conflict. Upon merging with an unknown entity, Sukuna’s power will amplify exponentially, leaving readers in suspense as to its implications. The merger could potentially transform him into a formidable force beyond recognition, and figuring out how to subdue this enhanced version is currently uncharted territory in the storyline. While it isn’t confirmed that Sukuna will use this ability, if the author decides against utilizing this plot device, then its introduction would seem unnecessary. Given the context of the Final Saga, this situation presents an ideal opportunity for its implementation. Currently, Sukuna has succumbed to his initial defeat, marking a first in his existence. However, the merger offers him another chance to engage with his adversaries and ultimately claim victory.
The road ahead is undoubtedly challenging, and it’s clear that the Malevolent Monarch of Curses has more thrilling schemes in store for us all in JJK. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and as we approach the series finale, fans can expect an increase in intensity with epic battles looming on the horizon.
I’m sad to report that I, as a devoted fan, won’t be able to delve into the next installment of JJK for a while. The series is taking a hiatus next week, which is disheartening since it recently emerged from another break. This circumstance highlights the author’s need for considerable rest before he can draw effectively once more. It also serves as a reminder that his health may not be optimal, and there’s a possibility that the manga could reach its conclusion sooner than expected.
As an avid fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I’m thrilled to share that you can read the manga legally and for free through Viz Media. You can access it on both Shonen Jump and Manga Plus apps. And here’s some exciting news: Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264 is coming out on July 28, 2024! Can’t wait to see what new adventures await us in the Cursed World!
