Higuruma might not be as visually impressive as Hakari or as fierce as Maki, but he’s a powerful sorcerer who stands out during the Culling Game. He began as a major force in the game, posing a serious threat to Yuji – their fight nearly ended in Yuji’s defeat thanks to Higuruma’s incredibly strong Cursed Technique, Deadly Sentencing. Ultimately, though, Higuruma ended up fighting alongside the heroes.
Higuruma proved to be a powerful opponent during the Culling Game, and later became a valuable ally. Remarkably, he quickly grasped the complexities of Cursed Energy, despite only using it for a brief period, with his full potential becoming clear during the Shinjuku Showdown.

I’m absolutely fascinated by the Culling Game – it was basically set up to force sorcerers to fight to the death, and Hajime Kashimo was a total master of it! Like Gojo and Sukuna, he was considered the strongest sorcerer back in the Edo period, but he always craved a truly equal opponent. That’s why he purposefully reincarnated – he was determined to finally get the fight he always wanted, against Sukuna!
Kashimo was responsible for defeating more opponents than anyone else in the event, leading many to consider him the most dangerous fighter. He’s incredibly skilled with Cursed Energy and possesses immense strength. His fight against Hakari was a highlight, proving that both sorcerers deserve their Special Grade ranking.
