As a long-time fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I must say that this manga has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride filled with twists and turns that kept me hooked till the very end. However, there are certain plotlines that have left me feeling a bit unfulfilled, and I believe many other fans can relate to my sentiments.

This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shinjuku Showdown Arc.

Currently, the final act of “Jujutsu Kaisen” is unfolding, and spectators are eagerly anticipating how Yuji’s confrontation with Sukuna will end and what the ultimate outcome of the story will be. The news that the series will wrap up in just five more chapters has left many fans feeling puzzled.

The storyline still has several significant points left to address, which five chapters can’t fully cover. These crucial aspects are not only vital for the overall narrative but also play a key role in shaping the individual characters’ journeys.

7 Sukuna’s Birth

Sukuna Was An Unwanted Child

Sukuna is a character that is shrouded in mystery. It is safe to say that while Sukuna is a very fascinating villain, he is a very underdeveloped character. Fans don’t know much about what Sukuna was like in the Heian era, why he became the way he is, and why, after so many years, his ideals are starting to shake.

Sukuna has become a fascinating threat, such that legends have been written about him. However, there is so much about him that fans don’t know that his death without any explanation would leave a very sour taste in their mouths. Sukuna even drew connections to Yuji’s dad recently, and fans know that he was born as a twin, and that he ate his brother in the womb. Things like these are incredibly exciting and need more elaboration by the author.

6 Hakari And Uraume’s Battle

Hakari Vs Uraume Has Continued For A Year

As a dedicated fan of JJK, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the showdown between Hakari and Uraume for quite some time now – we’re talking about 50 chapters worth of tension! However, despite the build-up, their battle has yet to reach its climax. To be honest, our patience is being tested as the encounters between these two have been sparse, limited mostly to a handful of panels throughout the story so far.

1. It’s crucial that this issue gets settled prior to the conclusion of JJK, or else everything will be pointless. Regardless, many viewers found this particular skirmish to be quite anticlimactic within the scope of the entire series.

5 Nobara’s Mysterious Fate

Nobara Is Back But What Happened To Her Isn’t Known

After the occurrences in Shibuya, it was widely believed that Nobara had perished. Rather than definitively stating her demise, the writer opted to keep it uncertain. Although there was a slim possibility that Nobara might have survived, an official confirmation of her death from the author was never provided.

As a dedicated fan of JJK, I find myself astonished by the twist in the latest chapters where it appears Nobara has perished, only for her miraculous return in chapter 267. Regrettably, the author has left us fans in the dark as to the specifics surrounding her demise and resurrection, with no insights offered about what became of her body or the mysterious circumstances that led to her return. Here’s hoping we’ll get some resolution before the story draws to a close.

4 Gojo’s Body And Yuta’s Life

Gojo And Yuta’s Fates Hang In The Balance

Towards the climax of JJK, fans have witnessed numerous thrilling skirmishes unfolding, and without a doubt, the confrontation between Gojo and Sukuna was one of them. In the culmination of this fight, Gojo suffered defeat and perished in the process. Yet, his corpse was retrieved, mended, and subsequently inhabited by Yuta, who utilized Kenjaku’s technique to carry out this act.

Initially, Yuta clashed with Sukuna, however, his duplication ability ultimately exhausted. Currently, Yuta remains inside Gojo’s body, leaving fans uncertain about his future. It’s unclear whether Yuta will perish in Gojo’s body or continue to reside there indefinitely. Regardless, the author needs to address this situation since a fitting send-off for Gojo Satoru is due if he is indeed deceased.

3 The Merger

Kenjaku and Sukuna Planned A Merger

As a die-hard gamer diving deep into JJK’s captivating world, let me tell you, the merger has been a central plot twist since it was initially introduced by Kenjaku. This ambitious plan was his ultimate objective, making him one of the most thrilling antagonists in the series. With Kenjaku’s enigmatic presence and the anticipation building throughout the story, fans eagerly awaited the climactic Final Saga to unfold this critical plot point.

To put it simply, many JJK fans were disappointed by Kenjaku’s sudden and seemingly senseless death, as it felt underwhelming given the build-up. However, before his demise, he passed on his ambition for the merger with Sukuna. Since the manga is wrapping up in just three more chapters, it seems unlikely that this aspect of the story will receive a satisfying resolution, leaving fans to hope for some form of closure.

2 Geto and Yuki’s Goal

Geto and Yuki Wanted A Curse Free Society

In the anime “Jujutsu Kaisen,” Geto and Yuki pursued parallel aspirations, but their methods were distinctly contrasting. Both aimed for a world free of cursed spirits. Yuki advocates that educating everyone on the use of cursed energy would lead to a decrease in the number of cursed spirits. On the other hand, Geto’s approach was violent, intending to eliminate anyone unable to control cursed energy effectively and those who were not sorcerers.

Though they took distinct paths, they both aimed for a world free from malevolent ghosts troubling humans. However, the narrative remains remarkably consistent with its original inception.

1 Yuji’s Ascension To The Strongest

Yuji Has To Become The Strongest At The End

In summary, it’s crucial for fans to understand who will claim the title of the strongest now that Sukuna is being confronted and both Yuji and Gojo are in critical situations, with the latter unfortunately passing away. Since neither can hold the title under these circumstances, a new contender must rise to take its place.

It’s quite possible that we’re dealing with Yuji here, but another character might also claim this role. Regardless, readers anticipate that the author will wrap up this narrative thread at some point in the story, a conclusion which many believe is imminent.
