The captivating series “Jujutsu Kaisen” boasts some of the most fascinating characters in contemporary anime. Much like any other narrative, “Jujutsu Kaisen” has its unique strengths, and it’s clear that this series provides breathtaking battles and an exhilarating power system. In the realm of “Jujutsu Kaisen”, it’s common knowledge that Sukuna, the Curse King, and Gojo Satoru are the most powerful entities. They have held this position for a considerable period, reshaping our understanding of true strength across various definitions. Regrettably, at the conclusion of “JJK”, both Gojo and Sukuna meet their demise. Consequently, a new dominant figure must emerge, with numerous promising candidates vying for the title.
Lately, in the concluding chapter of JJK, readers were given a peek into the far future, precisely the year 2080. In this timeframe, the world of JJK had undergone significant transformations. It’s clear that a new dominant figure would have arisen by then. Without a doubt, Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori are strong candidates for the title of the most powerful character.
Yuji’s Full Potential Made Him Sukuna’s Successor
- Yuji Awakened Sukuna’s Shrine Technique
- Yuji was deemed to have Sukuna Level potential
In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, both Yuta and Yuji are formidably strong characters that have left fans in awe. However, it’s worth noting that among these two powerhouses, Yuji serves as the main character of the series. Fans have long recognized Yuji for his exceptional strength, even before he consumed Sukuna’s finger. At that time, he was remarkably strong for his age, to the point where an experienced sorcerer like Megumi found it challenging to keep pace with him at first. After ingesting Sukuna’s finger, Yuji’s power only escalated. His training under Gojo and later, figures such as Todo, further amplified his strength. He embarked on a journey to master cursed energy manipulation and even developed his unique techniques, including the Divergent Fist. What sets Yuji apart is his ability to perform a potent Black Flash, a move that he made part of his signature repertoire despite its unpredictability regarding when it strikes.
The next generation won’t be stopping at Special Grade. – Gojo Satoru
Initially, Yuji appeared talented, but it’s debatable whether he could be labeled as a truly exceptional prodigy. Unlike other characters, Yuji didn’t possess any unique innate skills or abilities such as the reverse cursed technique. His repertoire was quite limited, making him somewhat predictable in combat situations. In essence, Yuji’s fighting style was not particularly engaging compared to the diverse and powerful cursed techniques displayed by other characters in JJK.
Despite Yuji appearing less dynamic in combat throughout the series, there’s no denying his strength by its conclusion. His growth was particularly evident during the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, where he demonstrated an impressive capability to engage with Sukuna in battle. This was made possible through his mastery of techniques like reverse cursed technique, largely thanks to his proficiency in blood manipulation. Moreover, Yuji’s use of Black Flash on the King of Curses not only proved powerful but also led to the awakening of the Shrine cursed technique, a remarkable ability that he ultimately achieved.
Through the powers of Cleave and Dismantle, Yuji effectively obtained Sukuna’s abilities. Interestingly, the author hints at an intriguing detail: Yuji and Sukuna are biologically linked. Moreover, since Sukuna resides within Yuji, it implies that Yuji possesses the same potential as the King of Curses. In other words, when Yuji unleashes his full power, he could match the strength of the King of Curses himself.
Despite not being as innovative as Sukuna, it’s evident from the story that Yuji lacks some of the genius qualities that Sukuna possesses. By the end of the series, Yuji was significantly weaker compared to Sukuna. However, in his adult years, Yuji is expected to reach a very high level of power and could potentially challenge for the title of the strongest sorcerer.
Yuta’s Tremendous Stature And Strength At The End Of JJK
Yuta Okkotsu Continued Growing Stronger
Yuta Okkotsu may not appear to be a skilled combatant at first glance, but he’s actually quite resourceful and full of surprises. By his side, there’s Rika, a potent Cursed Spirit famously known as the Queen of Curses. Rika is brimming with immense cursed power, seemingly inexhaustible. Not only does she aid Yuta in battles, but she also serves as a repository for weapons. Beyond that, they collaborate to employ the Copy Cursed Technique, which enables him to mimic someone’s skill if he successfully gets Rika to ingest a piece of their body. As long as the consumed part doesn’t heal, Yuta can leverage this technique whenever Rika is active. Furthermore, Yuta boasts an exceptionally powerful Domain Expansion called Authentic Mutual Love.

Yuta possesses an extraordinary talent that lets him use any copied cursed skills indefinitely. All he needs to do is grab a weapon from within his domain, and whatever skill the weapon holds can be employed by him repeatedly. Any of these abilities could potentially become the dominating force within his domain, which makes it an incredibly formidable expansion.
Beyond just being relatives through Michizane no Sugawara, Yuta shares a significant connection with Gojo not only by blood but also in terms of power potential. This bond implies that they possess similar abilities, and Yuta’s capabilities are immense. Although much about his link to the Fujiwara family is still under wraps, it’s clear that Yuta wields tools that even Gojo lacked, and has the potential to rival the strongest beings in modern times. At the conclusion of JJK, Yuta demonstrated an astonishing level of power, and if circumstances had favored him, he could have already defeated Sukuna. Moreover, Yuta spent time inhabiting Gojo’s body, which may have granted him additional advantages as he gained insights into Gojo’s techniques and possibly integrated that knowledge into his own skillset.
Was Yuta Stronger Than Yuji Itadori?
Yuta Might Hold The Edge Over Yuji
By their maturity, both Yuta and Yuji had reached their peak strength. By the year 2080, it was clear that Yuta held a prominent position in the Gojo Clan, indicating his immense power among others. As for Yuj, while we know less about him, his actions during the war have established him as one of the powerful figures. If Yuji continues to grow and develop, he could become as strong as Sukuna, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the greats.
If Yuta maximizes his abilities, he could surpass Gojo in strength, or at least match him. In the final chapters of JJK, both characters would be extremely powerful, but Yuta might have a greater arsenal of cursed techniques due to his partnership with Rika. Consequently, it’s plausible that Yuta is the most powerful character at the end of the series, with Yuji coming in close second.
At long last, the concluding chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, numbered as JJK 271, made its debut on September 29, 2024. Readers can find this captivating series on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump applications.
