In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Domain Expansions represent the absolute peak of a sorcerer’s power. They’re the most advanced and potent techniques possible, and only the strongest sorcerers are capable of using them.
Throughout the series Jujutsu Kaisen, we’ve seen several Domain Expansions, some incredibly strong and others less impressive. This article will rank all of them, from weakest to strongest, to determine which one reigns supreme.
Honorable Mention 1: Otherworld Between Darkness And Light: Reverse Transcendence
User: Dabura Karaba
I’ve always considered Dabura the most formidable sorcerer from Simuria. His Cursed Technique was unbelievably dangerous, letting him control light itself. During his battle with Mahoraga, he even managed to briefly activate his Domain, but unfortunately, we never got a clear look at what it actually did. We didn’t see how it worked, or just how strong it was. Still, knowing how powerful Dabura already was, I’d guess his Domain was something truly incredible.
Honorable Mention 2: Yuji’s Domain
User: Yuji Itadori
Similar to the lost potential with Dabura’s Domain, the author never fully explained the specifics of Yuji’s Domain. However, evidence suggests it’s incredibly strong. Yuji seemingly had the power to defeat Sukuna whenever he used it, and its barrier appears to be larger than any other Domain we’ve seen. This leads many fans to believe that Yuji’s Domain directly attacks the soul, making it one of the most powerful abilities in the series.
Chimera Shadow Garden Makes Use Of Infinite Shikigami
User: Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi’s Chimera Shadow Garden is a particularly challenging Domain because of its flexibility – he can summon countless Shikigami. He can also create copies of himself and even use the Shikigami’s powerful abilities directly, which once allowed him to defeat a very powerful Curse on his own. Despite its strength, the Domain isn’t fully developed and puts a huge strain on Megumi, preventing it from being even stronger.

The Smallpox Deity’s Domain Is Claustrophobic
User: Smallpox Deity
The Smallpox Deity was a very powerful curse who appeared at the beginning of the Shibuya Incident. His cursed technique traps opponents inside a coffin, and if they can’t break free within three seconds, a massive rock crushes them. However, Mei Mei’s cursed technique directly countered his, allowing her to defeat him easily.
Horizon Of The Captivating Skandha Is Very Deadly
User: Dagon
Dagon, a major threat among the four Disaster Curses in Jujutsu Kaisen, was incredibly powerful. His special ability created a large area where he could summon an endless number of spirits to attack his enemies. While overwhelming in numbers, these spirits weren’t immediately lethal and could be defeated, making his ability less powerful overall compared to some others.
Deadly Sentencing Can Lead To An Instant Kill
User: Hiromi Higuruma
Higuruma is considered one of the most powerful sorcerers ever, and he developed his Domain Expansion relatively quickly. While it doesn’t automatically kill opponents, it has various effects, including the ability to take away a cursed technique or tool, or even instantly execute them with the Sword of Execution. However, because the outcome of his Domain isn’t certain and it lacks a guaranteed lethal hit, it isn’t considered among the very strongest techniques.
Idle Death Gamble Can Make The User Immortal
User: Kinji Hakari
Okay, so Idle Death Gamble is hands-down the craziest Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen, in my opinion! It throws you and your opponent into a giant pachinko machine, and it all comes down to whether Hakari can win. If he hits the jackpot, things get insane. He gets basically unlimited cursed energy for over four minutes, and with his already amazing Reverse Cursed Technique, it’s like he can’t even be hurt! The best part? Every time he wins, his chances of winning again go up, making him an almost unstoppable force with limitless power. It’s just so cool!
Coffin Of The Iron Mountain Creates An Active Volcano
User: Jogo
Jogo’s Domain Expansion, Coffin of the Iron Mountain, is incredibly dangerous – fitting for the most powerful of the Disaster Curses. It creates a space like the inside of a very active volcano, hot enough to instantly burn almost anything caught inside. Even if someone survives the initial heat, Jogo can manipulate the lava and earth within the domain, making it even more terrifying. It’s a shame he only ever used it against Gojo.
Authentic Mutual Love Houses Hundreds Of Techniques
User: Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta is an incredibly powerful sorcerer, officially ranked as Special Grade – one of only four. His Domain Expansion is a reflection of this strength. He can copy the techniques of others, and his Domain holds hundreds of these copied abilities as swords he can simply grab and use. Despite being so strong, it’s not considered the absolute strongest because the versions of techniques he copies aren’t at their full potential, and he can only use each technique once.
Time Cell Moon Palace Requires Absolute Stillness
User: Naoya Zenin
Naoya’s Domain Expansion is likely to be controversial because it completely stops opponents from moving. Inside its barrier, everything is subject to a ’24 FPS’ rule – meaning actions are limited to 24 frames per second, affecting even their cells. Breaking this limit causes serious cellular damage. While incredibly powerful, this Domain isn’t ranked higher due to the sheer strength of other abilities.
