They’ve been standout favorites in their respective generations, but unfortunately, they’ve reached their conclusions. Nevertheless, despite the conclusion of both series, they’ve left an empty space in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. It’s intriguing to note that another series is swiftly gaining popularity and taking over as a top contender on Shonen Jump.

Ichi The Witch Already Has 700k Copies in Circulation with 4 Volumes

The manga titled “Ichi The Witch” is a fresh addition to Shonen Jump, debuting roughly when the series’ “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “My Hero Academia” concluded. More specifically, its first installment was released on September 9, 2024.

This series arrived perfectly timed and has been maintaining its strength since then. The initial year is often the most challenging for any manga, and if the numbers aren’t impressive, it could be terminated at any moment. So far, Ichi the Witch hasn’t reached the one-year milestone, but the series is already demonstrating significant promise.

So far, the manga has accumulated four books, and it’s doing quite well financially considering it’s a fresh series without an accompanying anime. Currently, there are approximately 700,000 copies of the manga in circulation.

From now on, Ichi the Witch has potential for further growth, and if given a suitable anime adaptation, it could potentially rise to the same level as popular Shonen Jump series like My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen. This is an opportunity that Shonen Jump seems to be eagerly seeking, considering Sakamoto Days is concluding soon, and they can’t solely depend on One Piece forever.
