However, Jujutsu Kaisen has taken the lead. It’s even possible it will stay there, as the season is adapting a particularly beloved story arc from the original manga.

The new season of Jujutsu Kaisen is adapting a highly anticipated story arc called the Culling Game. Although the anime won’t cover the entire arc at once, it will adapt a significant portion of it. This makes it very unlikely that the series will lose popularity to other shows.
I’m watching this anime and it looks like it’s going to stay at number one for a while – at least another six weeks, until the season finishes. They’ve aired six episodes so far, with six more still to come.
If any anime series could surpass it, it would likely be Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. It’s received incredible praise and is considered one of the best anime ever made. Its exceptional quality is clear, and very few shows are on its level. Only time will reveal if it truly lives up to the hype.
