Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami Officially Confirms Adult Yuji’s Power Level

This article contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.

Jujutsu Kaisen, a renowned manga from the past decade, stands out for its spectacular Shonen-style battles and gripping high-stakes situations. The talented creator, Gege Akutami, has masterfully combined these elements to keep readers eagerly anticipating more. The climactic confrontation in Jujutsu Kaisen was against the formidable ‘King of Curses’, Sukuna. Remarkably, this battle was ultimately resolved with the help of Yuji, who once served as Sukuna’s vessel.

In the course of this fight, Yuji exhibited a remarkable growth. While we haven’t fully witnessed the mature Yuji’s maximum potential, the latest installment of “Jujutsu Kaisen,” titled “Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo,” seems to suggest hints about the power level Yuji could reach as an adult. There’s a possibility that Yuji might be on par with Gojo, given they are both considered the strongest sorcerers in Japan.

Yuji’s Power Level After the Sukuna Battle

Yuji Was The Reason Sukuna Went Down

Throughout most of the Jujutsu Kaisen series, Yuji wasn’t particularly standout in terms of power compared to others. Although Yuji was strong, he wasn’t among the top 5 strongest characters for a considerable period. There were other sorcerers who outperformed him significantly, like Gojo, Yuta, Sukuna, and more.

Yuji didn’t really stand out in terms of power during much of Jujutsu Kaisen, despite his strength. For a long time, he didn’t make it into the top 5 strongest characters. He was often overshadowed by stronger sorcerers such as Gojo, Yuta, Sukuna, and others.

During the climactic battle, it was only then that Yuki truly blossomed, as his encounter with Sukuna brought forth a multitude of hidden abilities. Notably, his capacity to expand his domain and perform Black Flashes showcased an extraordinary talent within him. Despite this impressive performance, Yuji wasn’t the most powerful character by the end of the manga, nor was he at his peak during this particular fight. With plenty of years ahead, Yuji still had room for growth and to further strengthen himself. In essence, humanity’s triumph against Sukuna can be largely attributed to Yuji’s contributions.

Adult Yuji’s Power is On A Whole Other Level

  • Yuji and Gojo are Jujutsu Kaisen’s Strongest Sorcerers
  • Yuji Should be Close to Gojo In Power

Enthusiasts of the anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” would be thrilled if they could glimpse the cast as grown-ups someday, but that might not occur for a while, despite the recent announcement of a new sequel. Interestingly, this upcoming sequel for “Jujutsu Kaisen” takes place far in the future, specifically 68 years ahead, during which most characters have either passed away or grown very old.

Regardless of the specific scenario, fans were treated to appearances of Yuji and Gojo, who were collectively identified as Japan’s top sorcerers. This suggests that Yuji has significantly developed since the Shinjuku Showdown, as he receives more prominence compared to Yuta in the narrative.

It’s plausible that adult Yuji possesses power similar to Gojo, but whether this is accurate has yet to be confirmed. The series Jujustormu (JJK Modulo) may provide further insight on this matter in future episodes.

The popular manga “Jujutsu Kaisen” concluded in late 2024, yet it’s accessible online without charge. You can find it on Manga Plus, where the series was initially published weekly. For those eagerly awaiting the next installment of JJK, titled “Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo,” you can catch up on it as well, since it will be available on Manga Plus with new chapters released every week.
