Jujutsu Kaisen is keeping fans hooked with a series of exciting chapters that are constantly revealing new information about the world of sorcerers and the mysterious Simurians. Creator Gege Akutami is really building out the story’s universe, and fans are eagerly learning about the new characters while still loving fan-favorite Gojo Satoru.

Gojo Satoru is widely considered one of the most powerful sorcerers in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. He’s a natural talent, and until recently, no one besides Ryomen Sukuna could rival his strength, intelligence, and self-assurance. However, the sequel series, JJK Modulo, has introduced a new character who is now considered the strongest sorcerer after Gojo, alongside the introduction of Yuta and Maki’s grandchildren.

Gojo Satoru is a hugely popular anime and manga character, well-known for both his unique look and powerful abilities. Many fans of Jujutsu Kaisen believe he’s the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer, thanks to his incredible skills like the Six Eyes and Limitless, and everything he’s accomplished in the series.

I’ve noticed a lot of buzz around Maru since Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo came out. Many fans are starting to see him as a potential successor to Gojo Satoru. Maru – or Marulu Val Vol Yelvori, as he’s also known – is a key character in Modulo, and even though he’s an alien from the Simurian race, people are drawing parallels between him and Gojo. It seems his look, personality, and incredibly powerful abilities are what’s making fans think he could fill Gojo’s shoes.

Many fans immediately noticed a resemblance between Maru and Gojo Satoru, and some have started comparing their incredible powers. Like Gojo, Maru seems almost unbeatable, which is why many are predicting he’ll become a legendary figure in Jujutsu Kaisen – calling him the next Gojo Satoru. Fans are now eager to discover the full extent of Maru’s abilities.

Maru’s Cursed Technique Is Unlike Anything Before

Recent chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo (6 and 7) have revealed important information about Maru’s cursed technique, suggesting it might be as powerful, or even more powerful, than Gojo Satoru’s. When Maru activates his third eye, his power dramatically increases, quickly overwhelming his opponents and challenging even highly skilled sorcerers.

During his battle with Takeda, Maru activated a third eye which mentally scrambled Takeda’s senses, leaving him unable to predict Maru’s attacks. Maru’s mysterious and powerful cursed technique seems to bend the rules of reality, giving him complete control of the fight. Takeda, overwhelmed, admitted he’d never encountered an ability like it, and Maru clearly had the upper hand.

It’s clear that Maru’s cursed technique is strong enough to easily defeat a powerful, experienced curse user. This puts him above most seasoned sorcerers, and it wouldn’t be shocking to learn he’s a Special Grade sorcerer, considering how devastating his technique is.

Maru Could Surpass Gojo Satoru

When Maru first used his unique ability, viewers instantly recognized him as a possible threat to both Gojo and Yuji Itadori. The sheer strength he demonstrated, even while unconscious, suggested he could become more powerful than any other Jujutsu Sorcerer we’ve seen so far. Adding to this, his mysterious origins make his abilities even more unpredictable and formidable.

Maru still believes humans and his people can live together peacefully, and hopes to help make that happen. Because of his powerful magic, he’s a strong enough fighter to stand against even the most dangerous opponents, like Dabura, the Simurian King, or his own brother, Cross – especially if war breaks out between humans and his kind.
